This fight reminds me of June 23 1969, only this time it is not Smokin Joe Frazier in there with Jerry Quarry, this time it is Iron Mike Tyson. I see Quarry suffering the same fate as he did on that night against Joe. Tyson would be ripping those brutal body shots to Jerry's ribs as Quarry tries to exchange with him, Tyson by TKO7.

I think a prime Tyson would stop Quarry and not on cuts.

I seen Jerry KO Earnie Shavers in 1 rd, Big Mac Foster undefeated 24-0-24 KO's and unbeaten Ron Lyle among others. Jerry could handle the power punchers and Jerry had power in both hands and went to the body well and took a good shot.

I give Jerry a better chance at beating a slow lumbering low stamina guy like George Foreman, Tyson was a quick starter, took a good shot and threw punches in bunches and had good stamina and workrate.

Jerry could get lucky in a shootout but not likely - Tyson before the 7th

No way. Frazier grounded down a peak Jerry. Tyson was bigger, faster, two handed and got inside even quicker. bad matchup. Jerry would do much better vs a Foreman.

I love Quarry but Tyson was the type of fighter who would have taken him apart sooner rather than later.

A definite possibility. I just think cuts are an inevitable side effect of tysons sharp explosive blows and rough style mixing with quarry's own aggressive style and his tendency to cut. If tyson doesn't stop him in the 1st round and they clash he's going to get marked up bad, especially at close range.
