Prime ALI vs Prime tyson. ALI wins By UD. i dont see ALI dropping tyson, i remember prime tyson, he was brutal. BUT ALi was very difficult to hit consistently when he took a fight seriously. a tough UD win for ALI IMO.

WTF? Shavers gave OLD Ali some trouble, but he would have gotten thoroughly schooled by a prime, or even post exile Ali...prime for prime, Ali also thoroughly schools Tyson.

Prime Tyson would beat the Muhammad Ali that came back after being banned for 3 and a half years. Ali before that, no way. I'm sorry. I believe no Heavyweight in boxing history could beat that Ali.

Did we ever get to see Ali in his prime though? Some people believe when Ali got banned the first time, he was just starting to get into his prime.

Even in his prime Mike was only really ferocious for the first two rounds or so. There is just NO way in hell he's gonna KO Ali in two rounds. Yes, freak things happen, but 99 times out of 100, he's not gonna get this done to Ali, who was tall, rangy, quick, evasive and had a concrete chin. And once we reach round 3 or 4, when Mike slows down, Ali is just gonna have a field day with him. Tyson is gonna look no better than Patterson or Liston.

James 'Quick' Tillis fought a really lame imitation of Ali (both trained by Angelo Dundee) and he went the distance with Mike.

Tyson is a poor mans Fraizer. Frazier has more handspeed, punching power, equal size, is just as quick and as aggressive as Mike Tyson. Ali would win by Ko in 5 rounds.

Prime Tyson had 10x more aggresion and put 10x more pressure on opponents than Frazier ever did.

But less quick (handspeed) and powerful than Joe Fraizer, right.

Exactly. Yeah Tyson could score that one in a hundred knockout if they fought , but it is far more likely that Ali wins.

And, like you say, unless Tyson gets him early, he gets outworked, outlanded and probably stopped late, ala Douglas.

Ali is 69 its harsh putting him in with Tyson who's only 44 having said that glass jaws exist in boxing, considering that Ali KO6.

Just by reading this single post shows what you know about boxing could be written down on the back of a postage stamp.
