    He'd be crushed like Berbick.

Against a prime Tyson Ringo doesn't stand much of a chance. Mike's too fast and powerful and Bonavena is there to be hit. If Tyson wasn't such a powerful puncher then Bonavena would have a good chance due to his strength and durability but unfortunately for Oscar, Tyson is a brutal puncher with very fast hands. Prime Tyson would ko Oscar in 3 to 5 rounds.

Oh this would be fun...but if we're talking early rise Kid Dynamite, I might lean his way despite having a lot of faith in Ringo's considerable durability...

Too small? Bonavena was the same height as Tyson, and they were within 10 pounds of each other.

Bonavena was dropped by Folley , twice by Ellis ,and 3 times by Ali.
    He doesn't survive against Tyson.

People are either overstating Bonavena's toughness or understating how destructive a puncher Tyson was. Bonavena is unsophisticated relative to Evander and doesn't have the skills even that Buster Douglas had on Tyson's famous 'off night'. He'd be coming right into Tyson's wheelhouse with awkward shots that would give Tyson huge openings to put Bonavena down. He'd hit the canvas several times and not make it outside of 8 rounds. So we can put this whole 15 rounds business to rest. Make it six or eight and Bonavena still may get stopped.

Tyson was more explosive and quicker than Frazier. He was also a threat from both sides.

I dont think Oscar sees the 4th round.

where did you get the fight in its entirety? I have Joe's career but that fight sadly is only highlights. I would love the full fight.

Tyson would pummel the crude, wild swinging Bonavena. Boudini called him a heavybag and Tyson would treat him as such.

Bonavena would be beaten senseless by even the Tyson who lost to Holyfield, probably the Tyson that almost killed Golota.

Three to five? Not bad! That's longer than Marvis Frazier or Michael Spinks were able to last.

Looks like Tyson is chuckling in anticipation prior to intros.

    BTW
That's even better than Holmes who only survived until the fourth round.

Prime for prime, which is not post prison, coked up Tyson and it's a blast out to the faster harder hitting fighter. Inside 4.

Still better than most of these:

Lou Savarese didn’t last one round.

Alex Steward and Henry Tillman were K0D in the first round.

Trevor Berbic was KOD in 2 rounds

    -------------------------------------

And equal to these I suppose:

Frank Bruno and Buster Mathis were stopped in only three .

    Galota quit after three!

    BTW
How long do you think that Joe Louis or Vital Kiltscho would manage to last against a prime Tyson? I say Vitali because we all know that Wladimir would crumple even faster than Marvis Frazier did.

If ever there was an uncompetitive massacre, this would be one if Bonavena fought a 1988 Mike Tyson.
