Tyson was in his prime and Douglas thoroughly demolished him. Nothing Tyson could've done would've changed the outcome of that fight.
So you don't think actually being in shape and having a trainer and cutman who was worth a damn would have helped at all ?
Tyson would have finishe dit properly after his first knock down of Douglas (long count or otherwise) - that's if the fight even got that far. Whatever, Tyson wins.
No, Douglas was. Tyson was in great shape but he and his pathetic nutthugging team like to tell fairy stories so a few ******ed fans don't kill themselves. Douglas had real concerns. A dead mother being one. What was Tyson's concern? Had he not recovered from big bad Robin Givens shouting at him? Nothing more pathetic than Tyson's E-Social workers :rofl
Tyson was in shape, he had a trainer, he had a cutman, and he got destroyed. 20 years later and people are still making bull**** excuses for the guy.
His trainer and cutman were clowns who brought in a balloon with water in it to treat cuts. One can only imagine what kind of training camp they ran.
http://www.markstraining.com/2009/10/kevin-rooney-on-mike-tyson.html What Kevin Rooney...his trainer up until 2 fights before that one had to say about his conditioning and training
if tyson wouldnt have banged 50 chicks while in japan.........yes, it could have been different if tyson wouldnt have amassed over 100 million dollars by 23 year olds.... alot of factors
Why would I care about what Tyson's jilted lover had to say? He obviously has an agenda. Rooney has the IQ of Sarah Palin.
Tyson hired these guys, he obviously felt more comfortable with them than with Rooney. Tyson wasn't invincible and Douglas whipped him, there's no shame in that. I don't understand why people feel the need to defend him because he was outclassed by Douglas. It was a bad style match up for Tyson, and he lost.
Yes he got his ass kicked. No talking around that. The point of this whole thread is that Don King convinced him to put these bumbling idiots in his corner and run his training camp. What would have happned if Rooney would have been his trainer for this fight ? That's the point of the thread.
