It's baffling to me how people think that a comeback Foreman in 1987 would've beaten a young Mike Tyson....and easily too! IMO, I couldn't envision a more easier fight for Tyson. Foreman vs Tyson would've been like a one shot at a time musket from the 1700's

A prime Tyson would be too fast for a comeback Foreman, just landing punches at will while making Foreman miss. Truthfully, I envision a massacre along the lines of Dempsey/Willard to be honest. Just like the smaller quicker Dempsey was all over the big, lumbering Willard that's how Tyson would be all over Foreman if they fought in 1987.

The 300 Lb come backing Foreman of '87 would've surely gassed against Tyson.

We can speculate all we want about what could've been, what we do know is, there was A LOT of funny for a Tyson vs. Foreman fight and Tyson wanted non of it. King tried to get it done, but Mike wanted no part. We can say he was wrong or whatever you please, but he knows his skills and other fighters skills better than we do. So i'll go ahead and take his assessment of the situation over other 30 years later.

Foreman was offered at least 2 30 million dollar deals to fight Tyson and turned them down.

LOL... You got that all wrong. People witnessed Tyson flipping out at the thought of facing Foreman. Somebody as fragile mentally as Tyson... Imagine his stress levels leading up to the fight and at the fight if that is how he reacted to the suggestion of it? You logic.

This is one pick, that I am personally baffled by.

Foreman really pulled off the ultimate coup when he chinned Michael Moorer, and in more ways than one!

Of course, everything written must be true right? This is commentating on a fight you're watching, this is 2nd hand journalism at its best.

I have heard these stories, from reputable sources.

All I can say is that if Tyson was afraid to face Foreman, his fear was certainly misplaced.

He was buying into the same smoke and mirrors aura, that so many posters have bought into.

After Frazier went down for the last time, the whole boxing world never got up!

Maybe, and this is certainly possible that it was all in his head. Doesn't change the fact that he believed it, and so did his trainer.
