Don't know if true but the net says Tyson wanted no part of this bout early or mid 90's. Who would have won this match up?
Pretty sure, it's true that Mike didn't want it. I remember reading quotes about it at the time and since. Personally I think Mike would have seriously hurt the old man. Prime Foreman, maybe the other way around.
No it’s not true. Everyone wanted to fight him. No one was afraid of old foreman except maybe old Holmes
Because there’s no proof that he ever said he was afraid. No proof anyone say they heard him said he scared to fight foreman Anyway the burden of proof ain’t on me . You’re the one who said that the net told you he was scared. Where s your proof that the net said that an who exactly on the net told you that?
Cus didn't know a 40-year old version of Foreman that was as slow as molasses. If he saw what Holyfield did to him, he would sprint for that pay day.
Anyway to answer your actual question. Tyson especially pre-prison Tyson would have too much for old foreman. This would have been the cash-out fight for him an I don’t think we would have seen him in the ring again after Tyson stops him.
After reading such reports, I made a reverse charge call to Teddy Atlas. After a lengthy discussion he informed me he'd find out directly from Iron Mike himself. At 12.45 pm Australian Eastern Time a telegram was sent to my residence via a tall, toned man named Ethan Esque W The III. The sent telegram described in detail that Mike was not only scared of George Foreman but also feared for his life and wanted no part of a sanctioned bout. That's how I came to the conclusion that Mike wanted no part of a prize fight with Big George Foreman.
Foreman was getting pieced up by people like Alex Stewart and Tommy Morrison. Tyson wouldn't have had any problems with him IMO. I know styles make fights but I can't see Foreman being dynamic enough to beat Tyson.
Mike talks about it in his autobiography I believe. From the time he met Cus and they started talking boxing, watching boxing and Cus said Foremans style (younger Foreman at least) was a bad match up for the peek a boo.
