Tyson vs Holmes discussion

Holmes is a very bitter man. He never gives Tyson credit for that win. I remember reading an interview of his where he once mentioned that the likes of Lewis and Holyfield wouldn't even be good enough to be sparring partners during his time.

 

Bitter indeed. But he is getting better. There's also a recent YouTube video out there with both Tyson and Holmes where Larry says he wasn't prepared for the fight. Mike being humble actually agrees with him and claims he never would've beaten an in shape Holmes, not dissimilar to his post fight interview to their actual fight.

 

I don't mind Holmes, I get the impression that he actually gives a lot of time to boxing interviews and the fans, and not always for personal gain, he's not necessary bitter at all, but he changes his story all the time for different audiences.
I recently saw one with him and Tyson doing a Q&A and he's just k!ssing Tyson's ass all the way through. So, he's hardly consistent at all. He'd probably be the same with Foreman too.

His claims that he wasn't given enough time to prepare for Tyson was never remotely true, since the fight was already known to be scheduled for January 22 in the run-up to Tyson's fight with Biggs in mid-October, so that's over 3 months.
