I do wonder if Holmes would have survived if he didn't get his hand stuck in the ropes giving Tyson a free shot.

Also what would have happened had that uppercut landed full flush on Tyson's chin.

It wouldn't have mattered if Holmes had caught Tyson with multiple uppercuts, to stop Tyson then you had to keep hammering away. He had such a solid chin that Holmes catching him with the odd good punch here and there, wouldn't have made a difference.

Holmes was never winning that fight lol

I watched a replay recently, Tyson was trying to kill the man, when you watch the slow motion it looks as if Tyson is trying to literally punch a hole through homes, that leverage and power was ending the fight. prime for prime would be interesting but 87 Holmes didn't stand a chance, prepared or not imo.

Ali didn't go to the Holmes' corner during the introductions because he had done so on a previous Holmes bout and Holmes had totally snubbed him. So Holmes had added insult to injury.

Really? Interesting that. I always assumed that Ali and Holmes got on OK after Ali retired. The way Holmes spoke about Ali in interview s, it came across as if Ali could do no wrong. Perhaps Holmes was just having a bad day when he snubbed him?

Yes but he'd survived the two knockdowns and getting his arm caught in the ropes gave Tyson a free shot, this is fact.

Another fact.. If he hadn't got his arm caught in the ropes he'd have still been knocked on his ass. No way Holmes is making it out of the round when Tyson got u hurt.

You do not know that, the fact is Holmes survived a long period after getting knocked down and there wasn't much time left in the round when the knockout occurred.

Wass, can you recall a fight where Larry was down twice in the same round previous to Tyson? That's how stuffed his head was. Tyson would have got him, just a matter of time.

There were only a few seconds left in that round.

You stated if he hadn't got his arm stuck he would have still been knocked on his ass, there was barely any time left in the round and Holmes had survived most of it after the knockdowns.
