Watching the fight at the time I had the sense that Holyfield was going to stop Tyson a lot sooner than he did in the first fight. Tyson was throwing everything he had at Holyfield and Holyfield was just riding the attack out. Styles make fights. The way Holyfield fights is bad news for Tyson. The more Tyson attacks the more he gives away. Psychologically the first fight was a huge factor in the minds of both, especially Tyson.

Superficially, "Tyson was doing well" in the fight, but Holyfield was unruffled and relaxed, Tyson was heading towards a state of deaperation. If Tyson had kept his head together he wouldn't have made it past round 7 anyway. I guess that's what he felt too, panicked and took the easy/spiteful way out.

    Holyfield 2-0.

    To the guestion.
Tyson looked good and it would have been interesting match to watch to the end, at the time I was thinking Tyson is going to win this before he went nuts

I'm sure Tyson caused his own cut in their first bout... could be wrong though...

The cut in the second fight was caused by an accidental clash of heads....

I disagree, he barely landed anything in the 3rd round despite giving it his all. Holyfield would have stopped him no doubt imo.

I would rather say "accidental" clash of heads

Almost everyone gave him the third round. Holyfield hardy dominated the first two either. Nothing was setled before it ended.

I think there is plenty of doubt how it would have ended. Exspecially against legendary KO machine like Tyson.

Watch the 3rd round, he landed one or two decent shots that's about it. The crowd were overeating to the effort he made, I'm sure the judges were influenced by this. Holyfield still looked the best and was throwing Tyson about like a rag doll. Tyson couldn't hurt Holyfield with any of his shots.

It was plain to see Tyson was going the way of the first fight. He had made no impression on Holyfield whatsoever and was never going to. He knew this, hence the frustration, whinging and in the end biting.

Holyfield had his number, in a BIG way. It's the aura/legend/myth of Tyson that prevents some from seeing it. Tysan had no answer for him.

    Translates to.

When the going gets dirty the self styled " baddest man on the planet " who wants to eat peoples kids, put their nose bones into their brains and kill them, or make them his b!tch, not to mention hitting with the elbow, head butting, trying to break guys arms, and hitting on the break, was really just a little p,ussy who cried to the ref, and tried to bite his way out of his predicament.
