All these Lewis handled Tyson in sparring stories are over played bull****. There's a small documentary available on youtube from 1989 prior to the Bruno fight, where the exact same story was attributed to Bruno that Bruno apparently handled Tyson after first getting the **** beaten out of him and then figuring Tyson out. Look at Holyfield, he too sparred Tyson and look how he fought him, completely fearless and their sparring was meant to be intense with neither getting the upper hand. Lewis on the other hand wouldn't even throw a right hand until the 8th round and that's only when he was sure Tyson was dead and buried. Even Steward had to beg him to let the right hand go. Then afterwards just to save face Lewis released oh id hurt my hand story. Actually, it was Tyson who handled Lewis in sparring and knocked him out of the ring. Keeping in mind Lewis comments on the HBO documentary, "I hope i never have to face this guy, hes an animal". That to me suggests it was Lewis who was on the receiving end.
They're only bull**** to nuthuggers like yourself who can't handle the thought that their hero could have possibly got a working over. Face it Asser, Lewis got the better of Tinkerbell when they sparred and gave him an ass kicking when they did fight for real... Aww it's hard to accept isn't it sweety??
I suppose they do, if your a Tyson nut hugger. Funnily enough though their ( said nuthuggers ) bullsh it theories never change. Their filthy r.a.p.i.s.t scumbag hero always wins. The difference being those that know what happened don't claim Lewis won the session. Only that tyson charged out of his corner threw a huge right hand that bloodied Lennox nose, and fattened his lip ( it didn't knock him out of the ring, at all ) and by the end of that session things were pretty even. It was in the 5th session that Lewis began taunting ,and laughing at the freak, which in turn caused Old Tomato to jump in and stop the session, because the little bully boy, was reduced to standing and screaming insults at Lewis instead of fighting. It would appear Cus didn't want his soppy protege Cussing.:rofl:rofl:rofl And isn't it funny how history has a habit of repeating itself, like it did 19 years later at the press conference when Tyson got a smack in the head for his troubles, and started screaming again about " I'll rip your heart out f.a.g.g.o.t, and eat your children " ( Lewis didn't even have any kids at that time, which is another perfect example of Tyson's idiocy ) and to anyone who was stupid enough to listen to the kunt. " If I'd had the right crew with me Lewis would never have gotten out of there alive " Doh.
Didn't even throw a right hand? I'll bet a ban for a month he threw at least a 1/2 dozen good right hands before the 8th round started. People just don't give Tyson the credit he deserves for having a chin of granite. I'll say one thing about Tyson he could both give and take beatings.
Lewis hit Tyson with right hands after jabbing him. He was just shocked how he could take it for 8 whole rounds.
I think the Tyson of 1996 still has enough in the tank to deal with Lewis. Tyson needs just one punch against Chinny lewis and Tyson can take a heck of a lot of punches. People need to factor in that Holyfield survived against Tyson because of his own rock solid Chin as well. Lewis doesn't have any of that and certainly not against a legendary puncher like Tyson.
