Not because I hate him. I just don't think head-to-head, a 5'-10" 185lb. slugger with average handspeed wins battles aginst many ATG HW in their primes. Not hate, just honest realism.:good

Well, maybe it's not 100% surety, but IMO,it's more than 50%, that's for sure.

Maricano had a pretty good set of hand speed though. Sure not up there with Ali or Louis. But it was about the same hand speed as Fraizer. Though Fraizer was a bit faster on foot though.

That's my opinion. If you don't agree, fine.

He's not slow the way people make him out to be. His style made him deceptively fast. You have to really study his film to understand this. His attacks were very deliberate and methodical. It's a different style than Tyson's. It's a somewhat similar style to Chavez, though there are some distinct differences.

I disagree. Frazier's hands, (especially the lefty) was faster than Marciano's. Rocky just had shorter arms so it seemed to be faster than it was because the fists had a shorter distance to travel.:good

That's an opinion I can accept, but disagree with.

Maybe he's not snail-slow, but I wouldn't call him fast by any means.

If by handspeed, you mean how fast he moves his hands, those are style differences. Marciano did a lot of feinting. If you study some his fights there's a couple things you'll notice if you look carefully. For one thing, part of his style consists of making the opposing fighter commit to defensive positions and then punishing them with hard deliberate punches. This is how he caught Walcott (a very good defensive fighter) with such a devastating punch. That could not have happened if he was a slow puncher by the way.

I'd go more in depth, but I don't think I'm going to convince any of his detractors.
