Regarding the detractors, I agree with the pointlessness.

 

Why not? Jack Johnson beat denver ed martin, sam mccvea, joe jeanette, sam langford, past his prime jeffries, marvin hart, ketchel and fitzsimmons. That is a much better resume than what jimmy wilde has, its even better than jack dempsey's resume IMO.

 

He has an awful list. Where´s Benny Leonard? Tony Canzoneri? Barbados Joe Walcott? And I could go on...

 

George Foreman, Nicolay Valuev, Tony Galento, etc.

They just missed the cut. There definetely in the top 20. Besides it took me about 3 or 4 minutes to concoct the list. If I took more time, I would come up with a better thought out list.

Strangely enough you forgot white fighters who must be in a list. The black fighters you never forget...

 

Valuev is no puncher, Foreman vs. Moorer?? Foreman could hit pretty hard, but was he really super slow?

 

He sure show it vs Glass jaw Ruiz. He is WAY overrated.

 

I have 4 whites in there, so be quiet. Like I said It's a work in progress. If I had more time my list would be different.

 

He's no Tyson in the power department, but clearly he can punch hard.:good

Now I really don´t wanna diss you, because you live in the States and you almost never saw Valuev. But I live in Germany now, and they show him for many years now, I saw so many of his fights, he can´t punch hard, believe me. He wear his opponents down...

 

At least that goof lost... that's the only important matter. Now we'll never have to see his name again on a Classic forum, maybe a freak forum will do
