Yeh, and he wouldn't have had a chance to wear opponents down in any other era.

Well, RoccoMarciano said that you have to have speed to have power, trying to prove that Marciano was fast because he had power. So I mentioned old Foreman, Valeuv, and Tony Galento as examples of fighters who were slow, but hit hard.:good

    Marciano wasn´t fast!

He wasn´t so slow like some haters say, but he was at the best mediocre when we compare him with the ATG´s...

Galento was a hard puncher, but also at the best mediocre, but his left hook was pretty fast and sharp, Foreman on the other side was really slow, but with his reach and size it wasn´t that fatal...

Marciano had fast hands. Foreman still in his 40's had decent speed. He was able to nail Holyfiled plenty of times. And lump the Real Deal over with his power. Evander still won, but old Foreman did not have hands of a snail. Foreman look slow because he was useing the Archie Moore style, the turtle cover up. And of couse the VERY slow foot work.

How soon the punch gets there is the issue, isn't it. I think Marciano's straight inside right might get there a lot sooner than Frazier's sweeping hook or all of Foreman's from the bleachers punches.

Perhaps, but he doesn't have Marciano's knockout record even though he is fighting guys 100 pounds lighter than himself more often than not.
Marciano knocked out guys bigger than he was more often than not.
