How do you guys think this fight would have gone down? McCall was never knocked down in sparring in over 200 rounds. I think the big talking point would be in what mental state would McCall be in. One thing is for sure, Tyson ain't knocking him out. In this video clip McCall is boxing nicely and picking Tyson off at around the 6 minute mark and Tyson's mental cracks start showing as he starts to curse McCall out of frustration, Rooney has to shout at them both. I could see it being a roughhouse fight with lots of fouling, wouldn't be shocked to see a disqualification. http://youtu.be/c8XOIslkq0A
Tyson would win by KO with a Body punch. Mccall had a Granitchin but in other videos you can see that Mccall was not able to take the body punches. But it would had ben a nice fight.
In early to mid 90s McCall could've been an even match for Mike. I don't see him winning, but their fight most likely would've been an all out war for 12 rounds. In the end Tyson would probably win on points. Assuming that "Atomic Bull" wouldn't land one of his famous power shots... One thing is certain: it could've been a crazy fight and it's a shame that it never happened.
Prime for prime Tyson would have won an easy decision or possible late stoppage. His speed, power and defense would be too much for McCall.
You don't see or listen to any argument that supports Tyson's position. All you do is look to bash Tyson. Your obsession with bashing Tyson is almost as rampant as MVC's obsession with kissing Mayweather's ass. Prime for prime Tyson is quicker, faster, more skilled, better defense, and hits harder than McCall. McCall has a great chin. But, I see no convincing evidence it is much better than Tyson had in his prime. With the exception of Lewis, McCall generally came up a little short against the elite. His fighting style was often the epitome of "Sparring partner syndrome" where a fighter goes the distance (even against big punchers), but lacks the work rate to actually win the fight. 19/20 times Tyson would beat McCall. Period.
I don't listen to dumbass opinions no you're right. Tell me which fighters Tyson stopped late? The legendary Jose Ribalta? A bull**** stoppage if ever there was one.
You and foxy simply cannot take mild criticism of your opinions (or being called out) without lashing back emotionally. There is nothing "dumbass" about what that poster said. It basically fits as an accurate assessment of both Tyson and McCall in their primes. Calling the Ribalta stoppage "bull****" is somewhat laughable. Ribalta took a sustained beating throughout the fight and his legs were gone by the end of the fight. Prime Tyson might not stop the very durable McCall, but if not, would outwork him for the decision.
Quotes like that tell me you didn't watch the fight. Ribalta was getting knocked down but he always got straight back up on strong legs, he wasn't badly hurt at any point.
