The facts actually are that he was not in top shape and was not focussed or well-prepared. That has been backed up by those that were in camp and observers. I know damn well I could party my ass off at 23 and still look in fantastic shape. It's good genetics and spending a decade prior training hours a day.

Now, is that an excuse? No. It illustrates that Tyson was mentally unhinged, unfocussed and unprofessional. And he paid dearly for it. That level of mental stability and focus should be taken into consideration in all match-ups. The dude was pyscho.

Yeah i just decided to make that up :-(

Thats because you dont know ****.

He was a green kid who was sparring an EXPERIENCED journeyman. What part of that is difficult for you to understand?

What happened when Kell Brook fought Carson Jones the first time? or when David Price stepped up and fought Tony Thompson?

Sometimes prospects face a tougher fight than was predicted, sometimes they end up losing. Tyson WON

Tyson had a further 7-8 fights after Tillis before winning the championship.

If you dont think he became a more experience fighter, then maybe you should stop commenting altogether.

Tyson was a green kid fighting an experienced fighter, why cant you get that into your head?

Tillis was Tysons first step up.
Tillis in the meantime had fought Weaver, Shavers, Thomas, Page, Witherspoon, Williams, Frazier, Coetzee and Tyrell Biggs, is that not an experienced fighter?

At his best (circa 1981), Greg had tremendous speed, fluidity, very good chin, and very good, underrated power, he definitely knew how to box.But he wasn't very polished, and of course, his lack of training and motivation hurt him.

Prime-vs-Prime, I think Mike outworks Greg for a UD, it wouldn't be easy for him. If Greg came in the right shape, and was motivated, he could beat Mike, but that's a 6% or less chance of happening.

Yeah you decided to make it up because you're a born liar!

Like I said Tyson fought for the title in the same year so he was far from green, Tillis was on a losing streak and gave Tyson real problems, no shame in that though but don't try and spout bull**** saying he'd wipe the floor with him a year later.

Come on then what improvements did Tyson make after fighting Tillis? Did he punch any faster?? Did his stamina improve?? Did he improve on his average inside abilities and avoid being tied up??

You don't know ****, Page at his peak would have caused all sorts of problems for Tyson, he had the size, mobility and power to cause an upset.

That's the thing though most fighters did come in shape when facing Tyson, Tubbs on the other hand was pathetic after spouting all the rubbish about being in top condition.

Tyson beat Tillis. Was it problematic fight for Tyson by yor mind?
But what about the Puritty-wladimir klitschko?
    It was a catastrophe ...
By your logic every decent fighter can destroy wladimir klitschko. Puritty was a talentless fat bum against wladimir klitschko
but he destroyed the glass-chinned,prime,experienced wladimir.
By you logic a fantasy fight:page-wladimir klitschko ko1.
The 19 years old Tyson beat and knocked the 28 years old Tillis down at least but Puritty destroyed
chased and humiliated the prime wladimir klitschko.
    A petite difference....
Oh yes Tyson was a young heavyweight world champion.
He's a world record holder.I think the authors of the Guiness Book
    can agree with me.
Wladimir klitschko did nothing special plus he never was undisputed
    champion.wladimir klitschko a well-managed bum-beater coward.
wladimir klitschko's two best wins:the fat slow Povetkin a the 210.5
pounds glass-chinned Haye by points.(The 40 years old mediocre
    C. Thompson destroyed Haye easily.)
What an argument against Tyson a win against Tillis!
Because Tyson beat Tillis=Page-Tyson (dreamfight) ko by you ******ed brain.
You must be a total idiota.
