Brooks is a good trainer, under Brooks, Tyson was given Golota alot of upper body movement, he wasn't squared up as much, it was honestly the best he looked since Prison even though by then he had lost a step.
Brooks also trained Rahman when he turned pro for a good time. Your right Tyson looked his best under Brooks, I dont know why they got rid of him before the Lewis fight, but apparently it was over money. Ronnie Shields was horrible for Tyson.
Was it the one following Cedric Kushner after Rahman won the title and him getting the call that Rahman had jumped ship and signed with King. They tracked Rahman down at some convention or something and he was acting like a fool, showing off infront of his entourage and seeming a bit drunk as he bragge dabout the money King handed him and how he owed nothing to Kushner when asked about loyalty. Ive got that on tape somewhere.....
Anyone remember this, Rahman is the only guy to put Tua down in the pro`s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVzoSKgmr1A
Tua wasn't hurt he was just off balance kinda how Cotto knocked Clottey down, nothing to really get excited about.
He got rid of Brooks beacuse he obviously had no desire to win the championship. Thats why he wasent in proper shape either. But anyway, Tyson of 2001 easily destroys Rahman inside 3 rounds. :deal
I like Rahman in the fight, Tyson seemed to lose all interest in boxing after the 2nd Holyfield fight, it was as if each fight you watched him get a little heavier a little slower and one shot at a time BS again..... I think Rahman would actually beat him..
Rahman took some tough shots in his time, not only from Lewis in the first fight, but by others, so at this point (2001) I would not go so far as to label him glass jawed.
