What I'm saying is that Ruiz is a strong holder, he tires his oponents then land snicky shots. Toney had enough strenght to hold Ruiz for 12 rounds so he should be able to hold Tyson if he head to. Still the only valid points I see are that Tyson was quick enough and powerfull enough to land on Toney. But I doubt he will land at will, most of his punches would be missing the target and Toney is strong enough to stay in "pretty good" condition for 12 rounds ... surprisingly.
Thats not from Holyfield fight  ... from Rahman at +20 lb ... if you like to make a point just make a valid one.
You have to be kidding me? Toney at his best (in shape) was 68-75 vs a prime 210-220 Tyson. No contest. Tyson by early KO.
The fact is Toney didn't look much different in the Holyfield fight than in that one. Short fighters weren't the type Tyson struggled with, it was big tall, strong fighters like Douglas with a long, strong jab. Toney is short, stocky, and not nearly strong enough to last with Tyson.
20 lb of belly fat is just the difference in your point which caused poor conditioning. Even that Toney was strong enough to last 12 rounds with Jirov at cruiser and knock him out. At 240 lb Toney was in good condition to last 12 rounds with Ruiz, Rahman and 24 rounds with Peter, so saying he is not strong enough to last with Tyson makes no sense. Still I think Toney even a little fat at 217 lb had enough power to physically last the distance with Tyson if not shot cleanly with a power punch. So the question is not how much fat Toney had at 217lb, not how much smaller he is from Tyson or at which weight was Toney's prime in 1993. The question is would Tyson be fast enough to catch Toney with clean shot or press him hard for a longer time with boody shots and stop him that way ... my answer is that this is not so obvious.
Actually if you check your records his first title was as a middle, and you could make a good case his best fights were really at 60. He looked good at that weight also. He just likes to eat, remember his mom ran a bakery.
Its really not valid when he did start, its like saying that Mayweather best days were at 130lb so he would have no chance with DLH at 154 .... no sense at all ... If I can remind you Toney TKO Holyfield at 217 ..... and Holyfield was just fighting for the title some time ago and was not KOed again since Toney.
