Not valid? He won the title at 60, and defended successfully several times vs some name guys?? PBF WAS better at 30 or 35 in a historical sense. IMO he could not have held up vs ATGs at 47, or 54. Lastly Holyfield has been shot for years when he fought Toney. That reasoning makes no sense. The Holyfield that KO'ed Douglas would have killed the bloated Toney, at any weight.

Man Ruiz doesn't even put any serious pressure, prime Tyson would be ALL over Toney from start to finish with serious left and right BOMBS. Toney won't be able to avoid nor handle those vicious body and head shots all in combinations, no way.

Tyson would get Toney out of there in no more than 6 rounds.

You'd be asking a better question by matching Toney against some of the jumbo heavies, who might be bothered by his ability to shrug off punches in the pocket.

The pace at which they fought would be more in line with the one Toney is comfortable fighting. He'd still lose, but he might last the distance.

Tyson, however, has an easier time with James. Toney had muscle but also quite a bit of fat, and Tyson was the much naturally stronger man. He would push into Toney without fear of return fire, because Toney has no power at HW.

Tyson threw punches in combination with terrific speed and power. He might miss two punches but would land the third, and that pattern would lead to a KO sooner than later.

Wow. Toney being able to last the distance against those fighters because he did nothing and he still was seriously gassed. You fail to mention he was completely outworked by Rahman and Peter.
Tyson was 215 but without ANY fat, while Toney was basiclly a blown up Light Heavyweight. Tyson would be muscling chubby Toney all around.
Asking if Tyson would be fast enough to catch Toney is absurd to say the least.

  6. A prime 88-89 Tyson would have jelly belly out of there in 7-8 rounds, factor in Tyson would be so pissed of by that fat ****ers trash talking, Tyson's rage would be in kill mode,, I could see this one getting violent..

An eighties Tyson would slaughter Toney. The McBride version would have been an interesting match.

Any decent version of Tyson KO inside 3 rounds...peak Tyson 1st or 2nd rounds. Tyson was very quick at his peak, and Cheeseburger Tony couldnt sit on the ropes countering Tyson. He'd would have to run n run to survive.

Could be a good fight if Tyson did come back for one more. I hope he stays retired tho
