I think it would have been a great match up, both similar in height and have KO power. Both built like trucks. I think Tua would have been a bit more durable though and stop Mike in the later rounds. Any idea why it never materialized? Tua took the biggest punches from Lennox, Ibeabuchi, etc and was never stopped in his career.
It never happened because Tyson was well on the downside while Tua was still a prospect/fringe contender making a name for himself. Because of Tysons own name he was still able to generate huge pay days against more well known comp. Had this fight been prime vs prime I'd go with Mike by decision. Tua was tough, but he was never in the ring with any as fast of hands and feet who could hit like that. I think Tyson would be beating him to the punch far more often.
Of course. And it would have been HUGE. Ask yourself why it didn't happen. Tyson's team protected him from the Tuaman.
