Why take difficult fights and possibly get beat when you can knock out bums and still bring the house down because you're a big star?

Firstly, Lewis' one year age gap between him and Tyson is not even worth mentioning and secondly those other two, while older, also weren't on a steady diet of weed, cocaine, booze and god knows what else.

Tyson unified and cleaned out a division. He had to wait for a cruiser to make heavyweight and an Olympic Gold medalist to turn professional to even have the prospect of a decent challenge. Tua had one title fight, which he lost.

Bruno was more one dimensional than Tyson was at that point. No **** his personal life wasn't relevant when he was winning.

 

The answer is that he did not beat any great hw fighter who was not shot

 

Whereas Samoan Tyson did not beat any great HW fighter full stop.

3rd Holyfield was 6 years older,washed from wars!Before Tyson he had 4 losses and was very washed fighter at that time and because that Tyson picked him!Holyfield was older and washed and unlike Tyson didn't duck anybody!

 

Ruiz?And went 12 rounds with prime Lennox and Ike!Showed better chin and conditioning than Tyson!
