Prime Mike Tyson (pre-Douglas/prison) vs Prime Fury (Klitschko 1/Wilder 2): who would win and why?

I've voted for Mike Tyson but I certainly wouldn't bet my mortgage on it

5'10 mentally weak quitter with a bad gas tank versus 6'7 mentally strong all round fighter who couldn't be KO'd by Wlad or Wilder in 4 fights total.

    Fury by UD or TKO.

I’d hardly call Mike a quitter and I reckon he would have put Wilder and AJ in the hospital. I agree on Fury winning though.

If Fury came in with the appropriate game plan he’d beat Mike handily no matter what game Mike brought.

Which is what these head to head hypothetical’s are all about, the best version of each fighter.

    My back

    It's broken

    Fury leant on me.

No man 5'10" on the planet can beat Tyson Fury

Personally I think Tyson with his low center of gravity, and fast combinations is nightmare matchup for Fury.

Sure, Mike has to get past Fury's jab, but I would see an uppercut KO being a strong possibility - Fury has great recovery powers, but Iron Mike was a ferocious finisher.

The smart money may well be on a Fury decision, but I'd take Mike with some great body work and chilling uppercut to finish the show!

Fury would be dropped multiple times in this fight, but I think he would actually be standing at the end of 12.

The question then, is would he be capable of winning enough of the rounds he doesn't touch the canvas in. And I think the answer to that is no. Him throwing 12 head shots a round at someone who was elusive as Mike was in his prime won't be enough considering Mike would be tearing up his flabby body with hooks.

Mike would be ripping to Fury's body and would be landing so many overhand rights on Fury that he would quit.

Have you watched Wilder vs Fury 2?

Wilder landed his best and Fury was impenetrable.

Not as long as he's got a hole in his backside. Fury's not even good enough to qualify as a sparring partner for prime Tyson.

Mentally weak quitter who fought a 12 round war vs a huge puncher in Razor Ruddock.

I love armchair fans calling world champions "quitters" let's see your boxing matches on YouTube tough guy.

Tyson also wouldn't be ducking a Cruiserweight for 2 years to fight an MMA fighter.

Mike Tyson is leagues ahead of Wilder in overall offensive skills and finishing abilities.

Tyson so so much faster then Fury and it would show.
He would close the distance very fast and Tyson would hang on or get knocked out.

I love Mike Tyson but he wouldn't have a chance against a motivated Fury.
