God, even Tito Ortiz would slaughter a boxer in an MMA match, he's a guy who's a big step down from Rampage all around also, not to even mention a Fedor Emelianenko.:-(
What happens when Tyson gets taken down by Fedor Capfunds? Then Fedor intiates his brutal ground and pound on him, or simply submits him by breaking a limb? What happens? Fedor is not going to stand and strike with him, he's going right to the ground. You don't seem to grasp this, Mike won't land a KO punch on him because he won't have time to do so. Do you expect Mike to beat Fedor on the ground? Come on.
atsch You're an imbecile. I tried to debate with you reasonably but you're too damn stupid and ignorant. I bet you've never even seen a single Fedor fight. You completely ignored my question when I asked you to name two fights that Fedor gassed in. He is very fit, he intentionaly has a high fat diet to keep his 'chubby' body because it is better for grapplling and makes him harder to control on the ground Tyson was a great boxer. Fedor is a great fighter. He would snap Mikes arm in half, you're not even arguing points anymore, you're just talking **** about how Fedor is fat and Tyson is more athletic. atsch real mature.
Thats your opinion, didnt Cro-cop just get knocked the **** out by an average MMA guy? Tyson was one of the greatest fighters of all time, he had probably some of the most impressive skills for a Heavyweight, I doubt he would get knocked out or even hurt by a Cro-Cop kick, a stiff jab would put Cro-Cop on his back.
Truth Hurts, and i say it. Unlike most other Mike Tyson fans, i give Mike Tyson credit for what he achieved, not what he didn't. I do not give credit for what could of happened, or should of happened. I don't give Mike Tyson credit for matches up that never happened. There was one man on that site, on Tyson Talk that took into consideration Mike Tyson as a man a human. Not the supernatural overrated Machine. I remember i was to rant on how hard it will be for Mike Tyson physically and emotionally leading up to the Danny Williams and Kevin McBride fights. "I was the man who said Danny Williams could defeat Mike Tyson" "But all other members and so called Tyson fans wanted to talk about, where title shots, and in the process calling other fighters bums, like Danny Williams" I am a realist, and Truth Hurts. Its crazy delusion fans like you, who would want to see Mike Tyson come out of retirement. So don't you come on here and tell me i am a hater. Truth Hurts.
I'm fully confident that an MMA MW like Hughes easily submits him also, even with the size difference. Maybe something more fair would have been Royce Gracie vs. Tyson in an MMA match, but again, I'm taking Gracie by first round submission. Now seeing as I'm taking Gracie by submission round 1, it seems arguing Fedor vs. Tyson is utterly pointless and Capfunds is making a fool out of himself here.
I actually disagree with Amsterdam about Crocop beating Tyson, I believe Tyson would thoruoughly destroy Crocop. But hey, thats a debate for another time
You mean Gonzaga KO 1 Cro Cop? Gonzaga is not elite, but a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and 250 pound man who's relatively athletic with reasonable striking skills is far from an 'average' fighter. Gonzaga submission 1 prime Tyson, 100% sure on it.
Well, have you ever seen what a boxer looks like vs. an elite kick boxer? The leg kicks alone brutally take out a boxer. Cro Cop will just evade and throw kicks at him and can wind up some nasty kicks, that hit harder than a ****ing punch I'll tell you that. Even then, Cro Cop still is good enough with grappling to beat him. Couture destroys Tyson though.
I don't see why it's impossible to think of Tyson throwing an uppercut on someone who is lunging in head first. Maybe he hits him in the head, neck, chest, stomach - he's gonna hit something, and it's gonna hurt really, really bad. Give him a few weeks in an MMA gym to get used to what an attempted take down looks like and get his timing down, and I don't see why he would be unable to throw a punch. A lot of the take-downs look great and so effective because they are going against others who have terrible striking ability, so they get away with it. Who would lunge in head-first and get away with it against a 1987 Mike Tyson?
I respect your opinion and understand what your saying, but you must agree if Tyson was to get off a clean punch on Fedor and definitely Cro-Cop, the fight would be over? As I said in previous posts, its who ever gets there move or punch in first that will win, Tyson can beat the best MMA guys in any given night, and possibly lose against some of the worst MMA guys, it just depends on who gets there attack off first IMO.
I have to disagree. There is a pattern to all the fights that Crocop is beaten in. He is pressured. Fedor pressured him forcing him on the back foot. CC was beat. Mark Hunt pressured him forcing him onto the back foot. CC was beat. Gonzaga pressured him forcing him onto the back foot. CC was beat. Kongo pressured him forcing him onto the back foot. CC was beat. Everytime a fighter walks towards Crocop and attacks CC, he moves back to try and create range for his leg kicks so along as the fighter is always moving forward attacking, CC won't get his leg kicks off. Tyson would be faster, more elusive and hit harder than any opponent CC has ever faced. Tyson would get hit with some legkicks, but his aggressive style would constantly pressure CC and CC would become inactive. CC did this in all his fights that he lost, when pressured he barely even threw any punches or kicks. Unless CC did something stunningly uncharacteristic and took Tyson down, CC would get beat. If the slow ass Hunt can pressure CC and beat him on the feat, then Mike would be a nightmare for CC. I wrote a much more in-depth analysis of how Crocop gets beat and what his problems are in the "2007 fighter of the year" thread in the MMA forum.
