Bad card Tyson won 2 rounds in that fight. Tyson was a gigantic money maker for the sport and he was not going to lose unless dominated. Ring magazine sales tripled every time he was on the cover. He had best selling video games being made and several commercials. Plus was only 23 years old or so, nobody wanted him to lose

Don King was known to be a mob enforcer before becoming a boxing promoter. Not too tricky to put 2 and 2 together and fathom that King might have threatened judges or paid them off to score for the King fighter, or even outright fixing fights by paying opponents to take dives and getting them to sign NDAs about it. People are willing to fix anything in sports and especially in boxing. Match-fixing happened all the time in a Dutch youth division in football only a couple years ago and journeymen are pretty often paid to take dives to make certain prospects look good. A lot of boxing fans complain about corruption then don’t consider the reality of how this corruption manifests itself due to it making them feel uncomfortable.

Mike was getting beat bad, only people who watch highlights think differently.

The whole fight was masterful by Douglas.

Larry Holmes spoke of money being taken out of his purses that seemed to be for this kind of thing. I wish i had the quote right now. There's a solid chance it wasn't a fight by fight thing so much as being in a favorable position all the time. Tyson struggled in training too getting dropped by Greg Page. You only have to buy two judges tho i guess you could buy all three and tell one to score it orthodox.
