Tyson what ifs.....

It was Tyson's fault. Who here in Classic said otherwise?

 

Mr Sangria- Please see the 3rd post in this thread by Brutal Foreman, blaming Tyson's childhood neglect, for his mental instabilityatsch...

Such Bull****, and a cop out, Bernard Hopkins had a horrible childhood, spent 5 years in Prison and when he got out walked a straight line...

Roberto Duran grew up poor with nothing, lousy childhood, and as far as i know never spent a day in prison, or blew loads of coke up his grill, or beat up old men on the side of the road...

 

Gee ive known and met a lot of people in my life, myself included, that had "childhood neglect" from an early age, but didn't go to prison (multiple times)later in life for drugs, ****, assault, etc..

After you become an adult in life you are responsible for your own actions, regardless of your childhood, you know right from wrong, that's the bottom line..

Neglect & a lack of parental figures is a prime cause of mental instability. And some people are chemically imbalanced. Though that does not mean even BF was saying that Tyson was not to blame, just wondering "what if". He still had the opportunity to change.

 

I'm a Tyson fan, & I make no excuses for him. He was/is a very flawed human being....just like the rest of us.

 

If the first point happened, then Mike probably wouldnt of ever met Cus.

If however they did meet, then I doubt we would of had the fighter we had.

I imagine it would near impossible to go from one extreme to another - ie no money, and being a nobody, to a global superstar with millions.

 

You guys are seriously getting deseperate

first it was
the 'oh he caves in when someone stands up to him'

then it was the 'struggles against anyone taller than him'

now the latest one is 'Tyson would never have beat XYZ, if it wasnt for his use of elbows'

The funniest ones, i came across were 'Biggs was shot when Tyson beat him' and 'Biggs would have beat Tyson if he didnt elbow him'

 

The problem with all of the above is, had Tyson grown up in a much better environment, he wouldnt have been quite that animal we all came to love.

Part of the reason Cus was so sucessful with Mike was the method he used to channel the fury of this street thug into legalised violence.

Thats why some of the best fighters came from some of the worst backgrounds

 

So Biggs wasn't shot as a fighter by the time Tyson got to him?? The guy was a full blown wino and crackhead, of course someone who lives in Tysonland sees the world in an alternate universe.

 

If Tyson had grown up in a better environment he wouldn't have even been a boxer!!

 

Azzer....Tyson would still have beaten Tyrell Biggs....BUT. watch the bout...count the butts and elbows and punching on the break...Ty outboxed him for most of the first round until a huge left elbow with 30 seconds left of the round split Tys bottom lip with a serious gash...its not easy dancing round the ring whilst swallowing blood...Ty immediately came off his toes and the fight changed.This fight was Tysons dirtiest...watch it properly before you comment.The ref never penalised Tyson once...thats what im actually saying.

 

Wass1985...Can you tell us your evidence to support your statement that Biggs was a shot fighter when he fought Tyson? And your asessment that he was a full blown wino and crackhead ? I would like to hear your evidence and source for this info ?....Thanks

 

Blame the ref, not Tyson.

The reason it was dirtiest was due to some bad blood between the two and Biggs did comment he was going to slap Tyson around like he was his daddy and also rubbed it in Tysons face about not getting a medal at the olympics or something.

So Tyson basically ****ed him up.

Tyson has admitted he wanted to torture Biggs and could ahve taken him out earlier if he wanted.

Im not too sure what happened between them But Tyson definitely didnt like Biggs.

In that chatshow with Arsenio Hall, with Ali and Leonard. The host asked them if they ever spoke to their opponents, Tyson replied he spoke to Biggs. When asked what he said.

Tyson said 'Biggs said, wow, you're throwing elbows too?!' to which Tyson replied' Elbows, Elbows, mother****er your getting ready to die, your gonna die!'
