Judgedred maybe ? I think he would have outpointed a Berbick or Williams,Bonecrusher or someone similar...to be fair he lacked power...a great jab but not much else...lacked a bit of stamina when things got rough.
Who's not giving him credit?? The guy obviously had ability and heart which was questioned up until the Tyson fight. You're telling me that years of drug abuse and drinking does no damage to a persons health and that he wouldn't have been a hell of a lot more successful if he'd have lived his life clean??
Wass 1985.. Other posters on here who know me a bit better than you are now rolling in the aisles.... I cant stand Mike Tyson !!!! Think about it...my favourite is Ty Biggs...so why would i like Mike Tyson....he's a scumbag. Go over these posts from the beginning to trace how we got here my friend . All the best..
Everybody slags Lou Duva for being a heartless, money grabbing scumbag when that's just plain bull****!! Go watch the interview of Duva after the second Bowe and Golota fight and you'll see the mans compassion.
The fact is drug abuse or not Tyson would have beaten Biggs anyway, the man didn't have the power to hurt Mike, Tyson would walk through his shots every time.
I wouldnt disagree with that. Ty had skill but lacked power and stamina. He was a tall athlete but not a naturally strong man
For me say he got past Douglas with ease and fought like he did when he was at his best How long would he really go undefeated for? -By 91 he would have fought Holyfield a guy I always felt wins say he gets past Evander? -Does he get by Bowe -How bout Lewis? -How bout McCall -Mercer -Morrison -any of the other guys that emerged Tyson was heading for another series of tough fighters probably all better than the Berbicks, Smiths, Tuckers, Tubbs, Williams of the world....how long was he really going to be unbeatable in a sea of sharks
