I'm not sure what people will say when I pick Wilder to beat Fury later this year.

After all this bashing AJ and Hearn and talking up Fury... everybody will be convinced I'm trolling then.

Yeah I understand what you're saying.

Should Hearn have demanded to take a look at it (well a team of experts) before securing site fees and everything else?

As you say Hearn has hyped this up, basically made promises to everybody, said the fights agreed but has overlooked the biggest potential problem.

As for Arum, a 90 year old lying pothead... what did anybody expect?

I don't know if this is relevant @MarkusFlorez99

And it may harm my argument, but I'm fair, I just had a thought, a memory came to me LOL

But do you remember weeks ago Arum said outmof the blue the fight is "dead in the water" and the two fighters should go and have another fight and it could be 2022 before they clash.

And Hearn was straight on IFL out saying it wasn't and it's a "done deal"

Surely then Hearns ears should have opened up then, a few alarm bells going off? Arum was suggesting in April that this was going to happen.

I thought Arum said it was dead in the water bevause Hearn was taking a long ass time negotiating with the Saudi's.

Yeah. That is what he said, but the "the two fighters might have to have other fights and do it 2022", 2022? That would play in to Arum maybe knowing something.

Also Wilder coming out releasing videos of him training days before the final judgement was handed down.. now the timing is a little strange now.

I don't know, it's all rather cloudy at the moment, everybody is blaming everybody else, boxing fans arguing, Fury and AJ going at it on twitter.

I suppose this will get aired out at some point, I think at the moment Hearn is tying to sort Usyk out and Arum will be dealing with Wilders team.

But in the coming weeks we will know more about what actually happened. Also, Maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't be the first time and if I am I will say I was wrong But I personally believe Hearn isn't innocent in all this, far from it.

We will see, none of use know what really went on behind closed doors and promoters spin, lie and are great at PR.

Disregarding the specific situation here, you don't have to look far to find champions who have made choices apparently motivated by legacy/glory/pride/the desire to face great challenges. I think most of them do sometimes.

It's good to differentiate those who do it more from those who do it less.

Pricing themselves out of a fight due to a desire to offset decreased future earnings if they lose is another way to say duck.

Interesting. With Fury outboxing him the first fight and walking him down the second one, what has you thinking that (a likely worse version of Wilder) will not just do a little bit better, but transformationally better, in a third encounter?

Just think he finally lands that perfect shot that Fury doesnt get up from?

I think 2021 is turning in to the year Boxing died.

The fight between Fury and AJ get wrecked at the last moment.

Campbell Hatton on PPV cards fighting 0-10 and 0-4 opponents.

    Dereck Chisora Headlining PPV Cards.

    Okolie is a world champion.

And SHOWTIME HAVE JUST SIGNED JAKE PAUL

WTF is happening? Is this all real? Are we heading towards some sort of "end of times" scenario?

Yeah, undisputed fight this week and then in july.

Loma, tank, Lopez, Haney, Inoue are back with some good fights, but NOOO. Boxing is dead. Focus on the negative, FOCUS on the negative...

Hypothetically speaking what would you do if Anthony Joshua beat Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

Sure there are exceptions to the rule.

But, ultimately fights are usually made when the money is right for everyone involved. Especially when the top guys in the division are involved. The guys on the way up tend to as you say be motivated by taking challenges, etc.

But yeah you're right they are out there, but they are pretty few and far between these day unfortunately.
