Well D'Amato died very early in Mike's career when he was still a prospect. Jacobs died in early 88', when Mike was on top.

If they had lived, well I guess Mike would've been a top a little longer, but I think there was only so much they could do to prevent him from self-destructing.

Tyson was just a head-case with serious problems. It wasn't as if he didn't have all these issues when Cus and Jacobs were alive and didn't get into trouble then. It's common knowledge by now that Tyson got into a lot of trouble even when Cus was alive.
