How do you rank Tyson's willpower and intangibles? Arguably the most destructive fighter in boxing history when you put a smaller (Spinks) or overmatched man in front of him. But things began to fall apart when the other man could take it and give it back.

Disagree. Tyson had no plan B. He was tough and stayed in there but didn't adapt. If he was getting beaten the story wasn't going to change because he'd keep trying the same thing, not because he wilted.

He did basically give up when he was shot and had no shot of winning. Also, against Danny Williams he literally blew his knee yet people brush that off. He was wrecking Danny prior to that.

He had the toughness to take his beatings like a man, and only lose after suffering a lot of punishment. But not the type of toughness or heart to get dropped, and then win the fight when getting up. He would just give up and take it without doing the utmost he could to win. Sometimes the scared little kid would take over and he would result to fouls. He resulted to low blows and hitting after the bell when things got rough vs Ruddock, which is the fight people point to when discussing his heart against a guy that wasn't scared and wanted to win. And we all know what happened with Holyfield.

To be fair there were times he did have a Plan B. With Tillis he did once it became clear he couldn't knockout the guy like he did all the other opponents so he was forced to try a different approach.
