He was 220 v McNeeley (As heavy as he ever was) but he looked a lot more ripped and smaller than he ever was. You reckon he could have had something in his shoe to make him weigh more?

Tyson did look smaller And more ripped, so he probs had 12lbs of weights in his shorts @ the weigh-in, like Dempsey did VS Willard.

Tyson didnt need steroids, the guy was an obvious physical phenom and still is. He looked awesome at 12 and had the genes to snap into shape without doing a whole lot of work. Even late in his career when his trainers couldnt get him to work more than 30 mins a few times a week he looked damn good. A few years ago he ballooned up to 300 pounds and now hes back down to damn near his fighting weight. Its not like these guys like Adamek and others who in their 20s are significantly lower than 200 and yet somehow find a way to put 40 and 50 pounds of solid muscle on in a short period of time.

when a guys ripped low body fat they always have a tendency to look smaller from some angles and bigger from other angles. I think tyson loss of fat around the neck and face made him look smaller

Here some pictures from the fight, weigh in and press conferences for that fight:

Yeah, it was probably the steroids. As has been noted, he droppped some weight in prison, and his first fight back he was 220 pounds and noticeably more ripped than ever before or since.

Yes, of course Tyson was a unusual and outstanding physical specimen, a "genetic freak", but that doesn't mean steroids won't work on him too. It would be naive and irrational to think Tyson wouldn't take steroids.

Loads of athletes use steroids. Steroids have been rife in sports for decades.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cus D'amato believed in 'roids too. The guy was a genius after all.
