I do not really have a source, and this is how rumors get started so you didn't hear this from me, but someone in another thread said that Fedor's last couple fights generated 300,000 ppv buys.

Seriously, I would not be surprised if the aforementioned numbers are true.

Last 2 afflictions combined had probably 150k-200k
    Somewhere in the middle.

I'm pretty sure the first one only had like 65k buys.

does m-1 and fedor not realize the insane buyrate that a fedor-lesnar fight for control of the mma universe could generate????? with lesnars bad guy antics which do bring in a lot of viewers wether they love or hate him, fedors solid goat status and dana whites marketing skills we could be talking oscar d. vs floyd mayweather ppv buyrates somewhere around possibly 5 million. fedor would probably make enough off the one fight to bankroll m-1 global for a year when the ppv numbers are done

The problem is that most casual fans (part of the 1.7M buyers) knows Mir mor ethan Fedor. Mir had a great deal of exposure with TUF whether you hate the show or not.

I dont know what M1 is thinking. Could it be that if Fedor loses..theyre done? hmm. and theyre trying to milk Fedor dry.

Just mention lesnar vs mir? that card was stacked with more than just them..don't make it seem like it was just those two that generated those buys lol

Its nothing to do with that. Put Mir in any other promotion and nobody would give a damn. Its a simple matter of UFC being the only real established promotion in the US. You ask 10 people what MMA is and they will say "UFC". No different to Kurt Angle main eventing a WWE PPV and getting a 500,000 buyrate and main eventing a TNA PPV and drawing 30,000 buys. Nothing to do with Kurt Angle. Its just one company was well established while the other was not.

    Very impressive numbers if true.

With GSP, Lesnar/Mir and a UK/US fight built and hyped up by TUF, UFC did what it had to do to secure the biggest PPV in UFC history.

Of course Lesnar is more popular than Fedor and Mir combined. I'm merely insunuating that even a Fedor vs. Brock main event might not break Chuck/Randy 3. UFC 100 is an unfair comparison for any regular PPV since its 2 championship bouts

Im not disagreeing with you. Its the UFC not Fedor thats the attraction..Since Mir=UFC, there is a chance that he may be a bigger draw than a Fedor PPV.. What did Mir/Nog did compared to Fedor/AA?? This will prove my point.

Totally, people will buy every UFC PPV, because its a UFC PPV.
