UFC 102: I am pumped!!

im looking forward to this card even though nog and couture are past it i think it will be a great fight

 

Nog vs Couture was exciting a few years ago. Now it's an irrelevant fight betweens two fighters who are way past it.

The only fight I can say I really want to see is Marquardt vs Maia. It's a meaningfull fight between two of the best MW's in the world witht the winner in line for a title shot.

Great post man im so pumped for this card as well. Im intrigued with the Brandon Vera vs Krzysztof Soszynski bout as Soszynski had improved quite a bit and Veras trying to regain the form he once had and he looked strong vs Patt but this is a much tougher contest.

Leben vs Rosholt should be a brutal left hook KO, Rosholt has terrible striking and wont be able to avoid that left for 15 minutes. This should be Jorge Santiago brutal.

Jardine vs Silva this will be a barnburner you have 2 guys with questionable chins who love to bang especially Silva whos very agressive and Jardine fights that way if his opponet fights that way. This will be a straight up brawl and I cant wait.

Maia vs Marquardt SICK SICK fight both guys have incredible grappling technique Maia probablly has the better JiuJitsu game but Marquardt is a better wrestler and a bigger and stronger guy IMO plus his submission skills are top level as well. I remember Maia vs McDonald that was beautiful this should be even better.

Couture vs Nogueira ah hey jackasses its Couture vs Nogueira yes both are past it jesus how many guys are in their primes ? Both still have enough left and thats clear by Coutures most recent performences and Nog yes looked bad vs a much improved Mir but he did have staph and was coming off 3 straight wins before that Sylvia,Herring,Barnett. Both are masters of their game and the fact that they are legitmate legends makes this fight a must see. Wanderlei vs Chuck happened when they where considered to be shot that sure turned out ok, Ali-Fraizer III, Frye vs Shamrock ETC.

 

If your pumped for a zuffa card, you must work for zuffa.

As an MMA fan, widdow-maker is at the down-syndrome stage.

Ignore him, he is a troll as demonstrated by his constant 'zuffa' related comments. I sersiously wonder about some people sometimes...

 

I'm not at all concerned with the Nog/Couture fight because Nog has looked TERRIBLE in his last 3 fights, horrible standing and I think this fight is gonna be badly one sided. Randy was hanging with, and arguably getting the better of Brock until getting caught with a huge right hand in his last fight. Nog got LIT UP standing by Frank ****ing Mir! Not a knock on Mir, he's just NOT an elite striker by any means.

 

This fight is very similar to a Hopkins vs Jones fight nowadays, only stylistically that fight is more intriguing for me then this one.

 

Who do people see as the likely survivor of Jardine-Silva?

 

I must admit, I'm usually not as pumped about UFC cards as Zuffa's junior promotion, but for once I'm more interested in the big boys (not that Cerrone-Henderson won't be good...)

WEC 44, however, has me more amped than any currently announced UFC except maybe Machida-Rua. Even GSP vs. the winner of Swick-Kampmann doesn't interest me as much as Brown-Aldo, and I'm the type of hugger that would get up for St. Pierre vs. Baroni. :yep
