Not a bad comment, I think Rampage tries to be a counter puncher to much and if guys don't go right at him he doesn't know what to do exept give rounds away. Rashad did what he had to do under Greg Jackson's "do as little as you can to get a UD" gameplan.

Cause Rashad is like a little **** with a big mouth that seems to lack respect for everyone. Sure Rampage is no Angel, but it fits his character. Rashad is getting the aging version of good fighters such as Tito, Chuck and now Rampage. Oh well, atleast Machida had him lookin a fool.

Who and what has he said? I think you are confusing him for Rampage son. I'm not a Rashad fan but I don't see what he has done for so much hate to be placed on him. Rampage killed a baby when he ran a bunch of people over in his cop chase and everyone loves him. Rashad acts like a ****** sometimes in the cage. Which is worse?

No i dislike a guy because a friend makes him out to be the greatest fighter on earth, Rashad is a good fighter i just can't stand when people make someone out to be someone they are not. Like when you talk to a casual fan of ricky hatton i can respect ricky but its hard to be a fan when some of his fans think he is the best in the world.

I do not fault Rashad for the way he fought the fight which is what to expect from him, I fault Rampage. Forget the ring rust which I believe was only part of it. Just like Kimbo another hyped up one dimensional fighter gets exposed. With Kimbo gone and Rampage pretty much got exposed tonight, the brotherhood in UFC is gonna cancel each other out very soon.

  9. I'm British. The American kid won. I had it by 2 points. Lil Nog's a name but so ****ng what? Fair's fair.

Here's my drunken take on things. MMA has come along way, so much so that it's in 'limbo' - as in, not highly skilled, and not street fighting. The latter is more entertaining for people who lke KO's & blood, and the former is boxing, which MMA will NEVER be.

Most entertaining fights for me on a personal level were the Diaz fight & the heavyweight bout (bear with me, I'm ****ed) as the bird I'm with wanted to know what the **** a fella with love handles was even doing in the octagon with such a sculptured God of a fellow. Well boy did that shut her trap.

Seriously though, are the kid who beat Diaz & Hardy even close to being friends? I'd ****ng LOVE to see them tear it up very soon, it'd be interesting to say the least.

Back to my original point, Bisping & Evans make this 'sport' boring - when they fight it isn't 'Ultimate Fighting' - it's very tactical, stick & move, which is fine, but, if you want tactics, you watch boxing. I watch the UFC to see guys beat the **** out of each other.

Argh I'm ****ed, I'll read this back tomorrow.

  10. What the **** is 'the brotherhood'? You ****ing idiot.

Comparing Rampage to Kimbo shows me you are mentally chalenged or misinformed. Even the biggest TRUE Rashad fan wouldn't do that.

Type RAMPAGE JACKSON into YouTube, and WATCH. ****ing hell.

  11. i'm glad rashad won.

although i only 'know' rampage thru the press of course, i just can't like the guy. i feel he was a big **** a lot of the time on TUF, and didn't seem as loyal to his team, imo.

actually i could never take 'they hate eachother' seriously at all. i think it was hyped up quite a bit by both. i always felt like i was watching WWE when they started on eachother.

i too didn't like rashad until he coached on TUF. he came across so differently than i had imagined him to be. very decent man, good coach too, as it happens!

Let me guess...I haven't read since page 6, but alot of people are essentially saying nay on this fight. Didn't enjoy it...

Well, let me put it like this...for the majority of fans, (many being more boxing fans) nothing but a KO was going to satisfy them. It could have been the most technical fight in UFC history with great back and fourth action and many, if not all, of the people who are annoyed now would still be.

Rashad played his hand PERFECTLY! He did everything crisply and played his plan very, very well. He had Jackson's timing all off and he didn't know exactly what to do at any given time. And his plan to pressure him early, a la GSP at UFC 94, was perfect as well and as a result might have saved his fight once he was in trouble in the 3rd. I guarantee that saved him. Guarantee it.

Was it the most exciting fight in the world? No. Is everyone gonna be happy? No, for reasons I detailed above. Am I happy with the fight? Hell yeah! It was a great fight and I'm sure I'll be watching it many times over. It was a hugely technical battle, played out masterfully by Rashad. Excellent fight and I can't wait for Rua vs. Evans.

Agreed that was a stupid ass post from that guy. Apparently he thinks that the UFC wont have any black fighters I guess aside from Rashad. Not that race should mean a damn thing but ill assume he only knows the well known guys and has no clue of fighters like Phil Davis, Jon Jones, Melvin Guillard and other African Americans doing well in the UFC. As far as Rampage being exposed as what ? The only major difference in this fight was speed and lets face it there arent many guys out there as fast as Rashad Evans around 205 Vitor has great handspeed but who has the ability at 205 to move like Rashad ? Bro lets just try and relax there has been so many stupid ass post made in this forum tonight lets just hope it dies down in the next few days while we put 114 in the past.

I wouldnt call it so much a shame but for me it kinda almost taints Rashad's last couple of wins. No doubt he performed well for 2 and half rounds vs Thiago and Rampage but watch both fights they hurt him very badly and it wasnt just a thing of being buzzed briefly Rashad's legs looked like **** for about 2 minutes in each fight. However Thiago who was supposed to be gassed out had enough energy to throw his arms in the arm and jump up in down but not go in for the kill ? Rampage whos known for a killer instinct just stares at a guy hes supposed to hate and lets him completely recover ? Not saying theres some conspiracy or anything but damn it almost looks like some kind of weird ass set up going on. For me its going to be hard to get exicted for Shogun-Rashad quite honestly Rashad should really have 3 consecutive KO loses right now and if and probablly when Shogun puts him in that postion im 99.9 percent sure he finishes it and finishes Rashad violently.

Lots of decisions last night, five of the six fights at the top of the card, and the one that wasn't ended up being a 3rd round KO in a fight that looked like it was heading to a decision. Very strange.
