MMAjunkie.com recently requested and today received the list of disclosed paydays from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The total disclosed payroll for the July 3 show was $923,000. Other top earners from the evening include winners Stephan Bonnar ($50,000) and Kendall Grove ($50,000), main-card loser Yoshihiro Akiyama ($45,000) and main-event loser Shane Carwin ($40,000). UFC 116 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and aired live on Spike TV and then pay-per-view. The full payouts included: Brock Lesnar: $400,000 (no win bonus) def. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income. They also do not include any other "locker room" or special bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays. For example, as previously reported, UFC officials handed out $75,000 UFC 116 bonuses to Harris (Knockout of the Night), Lesnar (Submission of the Night), and Leben, Akiyama, Bonnar and Soszynski (Fights of the Night). In other words, the above figures are simply base salaries reported to the commission and do not reflect entire compensation packages for the event. Thats around £650K in sterling. Pure chump change. Carwin gets $40K and Kendall Grove gets more? If you think thats all the money that was paid out, you don't live in the real world. They are employees of Zuffa, any money paid outside of the fight purses doesn't need to be made public. If you had the choice between having your salary made public or not, which would you choose?
Newsflash: This is the money the UFC pays them. What they get from the sponsors is academic. The biggest bout in MMA and both got a base salary of 440k combined. Its the equivalent of being a salesmen and hoping that your commision comes through for the month on the basis of your peformance. Awesome business model.
Newsflash it’s only fight purses. UFC distributes their salaries differently than in boxing because fighters are under one organization. They get yearly salaries, signing bonuses, ect.....
Bonus's are just that bonus's. And in case you didnt notice Carwin didnt get one. He got 40k for the BIGGEST heavyweight fight in MMA. YEAH!
He didn’t get it directly in that event but like I said they can distribute salaries differently with that kind of system. You really think that top-UFC (Carwin) fighters gets paid less than Finnish ice hockey league 4-line players. Doesn’t sound likely

You're an idiot. Bonuses are one thing; money paid outside of fight purses (bonuses are included in fight purses) is another. Fighters don't get all, or even most, of the money they make from their organization from fight purses.

For example, at UFN 13 Joe Lauzon was paid $8,000 for his losing effort against Kenny Florian but earned $52,000 from sponsorship money. Including the $20,000 he earned for taking Fight of the Night Honors, Lauzon walked home with 80,000. Funny money for an unranked midcard fighter. :deal
Does the UFC renumerate for training expenses? Fighters seriously need to start organizing themselves because in the scheme of things theyre getting arse raped, they may aswell make the most out of it.
Right, sponsors ALSO pay. Fight orgs, all of them, pay a lot of money outside of purse money so they don't have to make it public.
