Ufc 116 is junk

The main event is one worth watching but not worth paying $60. Most UFC PPVs these days have been thin and I think its because the fact that their goal is to have so many shows a yr, they don't want to place all their eggs in one basket. This doesn't deter the hardcore UFC fans though.

sozynski vs bonnar is a rematch of their first fight which was a great fight till it got stopped by a bull**** cut

lytle vs brown will be an amazing fight probably FOTN, every fight lytle is in is amazing, he's got like 8 FOTN bonuses, brown is also a very exciting who always brings it

akiyama will be great, but admittidely it would be better if wandy was fighting

lesnar vs carwin - nothing needs to be said

The UFC keeps people who will take it up the ass from Dana. Yes this is a shitty card, I'm only going to watch (free at a friends house) it because I want to see Carwin KO lesnar. I will NEVER buy UFC again. UFC 116 is case in point. Overhyped C- fighters in overpriced ppv card.

 

:roll: Get off it man. If Scott Smith can be a maineventer outside the UFC then anyone of those ppv card guys could be too.

 

Please tell me you are kidding? The last Strikeforce was a stacked card. Every fight was a good matchup. Dana gets kids from reality shows.

 

Reality shows ? Scott Smith was on one of those seasons and didnt win it infact I think he was like 1-3 in his offical UFC fights. If you wanna think TUF hasnt produced alot of Champions, contenders or good gatekeepers like Forrest, Diego, Gray, Rashad, KenFlo, Jardine, Bisping, Hamil and soooo many more then your just a total moron which I dont wanna believe. Nick Diaz dominates Strikeforce and he lost to a reality show fella in Diego Sanchez and lost clearly just 5-6 months after Diego ended TUF. This reality show is about taking professional fighters, raising their games with good coaching and giving them a shot if earned at the big time. This isnt like ok lets take 4-5 guys from Survivor the Apprentice and say hey wanna join the UFC ?

 

I don't like TUF. It's a bunch of dumb drunk ass kids playing grabass and talking ****. We (American UFC) has taken a beautiful sport in MMA and turned it into a drunken fan pissing contest.

 

I do understand what your saying that some of these guys act like clowns and make the sport look bad. However I cant place ALOT of blaim on the kids. No matter what the age is remember your sticking 16 guys in a house for almost 2 months with no TV, no radios, no phones, no internet, no women or sex, cameras following nearly every move, have to share your food, share the bedrooms and showers and bathrooms. Then train like a dog twice a day and fight on a days notice. Add this all together and you get alot of bored, burnt out and pissed off guys look at a guy like Mac Danzig he seems like such a class act but during TUF he was a douche that **** brings there worst out in you. Now obviously they know what they are getting into when they sign up but we gotta excuse their actions just a bit. I understand the UFC wants to find out how mentally tough these guys are in addition to phyiscally but some things should be worked out IMO. Why do they need to have alcohol all over the house ? Atleast throw in a couple TVs so they have something to entertain themselves with at night time.
