If Silva didn't know how to grapple, he would be nothing, he was saved by a great submission in his last fight.

"Real fighting" doesn't involve having to have a third party interfere in the fight every 20 seconds on average.

You have to realize these guys dedicate their lives to MMA, and before that usually dedicate their lives to some other, usually grappling related, sport.

There is very little time to learn boxing, and overall it just is not that important, or at least not without the total package, and there are only so many hours in the day.

 

Well, here's to my second MMA fight!

 

You know, I'm a fan of both sports, and I must admit... The MMA fan in me likes Couture more than the boxing fan in me likes Toney... But I's like to see Toney pull an upset. Boxing fans are giving Couture way more respect than MMA fans are giving Toney...
