Brock walks around at 270. Making under 265 is child's play. A whole drop of 5lbs? I can **** that in one sitting.

I'v no idea of the spectifcs but don't certain PED's stay detectable for months after use? I remember comments being made to that effect about some of the stuff Carwin was caught buying.

You may well be right but personally I don't think the extra muscle really slowed Lesnar down much if at all and he did go 15 mins with Herring(albeit mostly in a dominant position) without gassing. Lesnar to me looked to have dropped his "beach muscle" by the time he entered MMA, unlike say say Lashley he hadnt been involved in pro wrestlign for along time by that point(and his post WWE work in Japan didnt need the "look" either).

The real test is I spose what happens tonight, if Lesnar goes 25 mins without slowing down or outcardio's Cain before that then he probabley made the right move.

I don't know what he has done in other threads, but in this one all he did was layout cogent arguments that are on the money.

I think will cooling made some decent points to show the reasoning behind his beliefs....that being said he is a ufc fanboy (and he certainly is not the only one). he proves it time and again by always attempting to discredit fighters outside the ufc fighters like fedor barrnet and overeem- that horse**** comes straight from dana white, who only spews that nonsense because its his job! he is a president of the ufc but also a promoter(and a pretty good one), whats mr coolings excuse! I wouldnt have a problem with it but dana has such a blind and loyal following it means what he says or writes will be repeated, and repeated at nausium.

do you ever notice that everyone that has a falling out with dana white (and their have been many many, fighters and even sports writers that have) to these zuffa zombies it is always the other guy who is to blame, why because dana white says so. then dana makes all of these horrible comments about them. and all they said was one thing(s) (sometimes a few) bad about him then he in every interview goes out of his way to call them a fraud, irrelevant, a steroid user, a *****, ***s, a moron ect ect.

overeem is largely untested at heavyweight I agree with that, but so are cain velasquez and even brock lesnar himself with his all of 5-1 record as another ESB poster wrote if the strikeforce heavyweights fought for the ufc instead of strikeforce the script would be reversed and they would be the best in the world" or something along those lines

also be careful about discrediting fighters who were busted for steroids, how many ufc fighters have been busted for the athletic commissions banned list of substances and steroids for that matter. it goes both ways.

I do not hate the ufc or mr dana white or will cooling for that matter I am simply irritated with posters here and other forums pushing the zuffa agenda. particularly when it comes to discrediting fighters.

lets see how quickly dana white changes his story and jake sheilds becomes a top p4p fighter if he beats martin kampman as if that would be the best fighter he has beaten and needed that name to make his career relevant. then suddenly everyone will say ohh what a great fighter when he was great all along.

Just because a fighter says this does not make it true. Wasn't Shannon Briggs 242 or something before the Klitschko fight last week then somehow weighs in at 262.
Brock weighs in at 264 and now people are saying that he doesn't cut weight etc etc , he has slimed down to maximise speed etc etc. BULL****.

Brock weighs in routinely at 265 and now yesterday 264. Its very clear he weigh's ALOT less than his WWE days. Brock said himself he walks around at 270. But you think he's lying because Shannon came in heavier?

Again you're assuming a lot about what I believe.

Although Top P4P for lists are stupid, I've had Shields in mine for a long time - you simply can't dispute what he's achieved. I disagree that the top UFC heavyweights are unproven - Velasquez, Lesnar, Dos Santos and Carwin have all beaten real guys and looked good in doing so. Now obviously they haven't shown the career longeitivity of a Fedor and we have no way of knowing whether they'll enjoy long-term success but in terms of the here and now, they're proven. And as I've said loads of times, I really like the look of Overeem and think he has all the potential in the world but he just doesn't seem willing/able to dedicate himself fully to MMA.

I think Dana White has calmed things down after getting involved in three ugly situations where he was clearly in the wrong last year (denying Sherdog credentials, calling Hunt a '*****' and Rossen a '***' and making fun of Jackson's A-Team payoff) but yeah he still has his moments. The UFC Best 100 Matches list was stalinist in its refusal to put any Frank Shamrock match or Tito Ortiz victories on the set. And like any promoter he'll flip on his head if he feels its the right thing for business.

But on the whole I do like White and respect what he's achieved. Unlike other combat sports promoters (McMahon, King, Golden Boy, Arum) whose success has come from working out how to make more money from a declining number of fans, White has made his money by greatly expanding and developing MMA. It was by no means all him, but Zuffa has made the telling contribution into getting the sport legalized throughout most of North America and starting the expansion into new markets such as Europe, Australia, the Middle East, etc. Even his public persona has more positive aspects than negative - the connection he's built with fans and the way he's willing to answer questions in unstagemanaged situations is very impressive.

Quite. And Brock was slimmer in the Carwin fight as well. Its partly to improve his conditioning and partly because he's had to improve his diet and cut out the excessive red meat consumption after his health problems last year.
