I doubt doubling the salaries of guys making 8k would bankrupt the UFC. . . Not when they're doing PPV's once a month that generate a minimum of 200k buys. . . The average one prolly does 400k or so. . .

The CEO's, etc. can sacrifice their multi-million dollar salaries by a few hundred G's a year to better compensate these guys trying to feed their families off 8k every 3-4 months if their lucky.

I'm fine with the mid/top level guys making 50-100k per fight. . Plus bonuses, sponsorships, they're definitely making close to six figures per fight. . . 3 fights a year, take out taxes, etc., and they're making salaries of top Dr.'s, and lawyers. . Cool. .

Then of course the top dogs are eating pretty good im sure.

And you're actually going to imply something that's not there? All i said in my original post was it's interesting to note how much Jones and Evans made. Yet you're responding with this :patsch Yeah :patsch alright...

Except you didn't note how much Jones and Evans made and you know that damned well, you dishonest slut. :-( You noted only that portion of their base pay which is legally required to be released to the public domain, which in no way represents either man's total earnings for the fight. :deal

You know this, scurla, there's no way you don't. :nono

    :hat

How is it a lie? The UFC marketed the fight as such and that was what Carwin was paid for his UFC salary. That is what they disclosed. So where's the lie when the information is available publicly?

One day some nobhead will offer Jon Jones 30 mill' to fight Bob Sapp in India and he won't re-negotiate. Or some Chinese billionaire offers the HW champ similar money to fight over there.

That's when UFC will have to start throwing big money around, the matchmaking will become safer, fighters will fight less regularly and MMA will become stagnant with us never seeing the fights we want to see.

Okay. So you're ignoring that Overeem's contract has been released in public due to the Golden Glory dispute and showed that with 800,000 buys he earnt far in excess of what was cited by the athletic commission.

And didn't I say that I do not think that the UFC pays fighters half of its revenues? Hmmmm oh yeah.

None of that matters as i wasn't implying that. And if i was i would have edited the article. I'm talking about his UFC salary. Nothing more or less. I thought that was quite clear. Either way its irrelevant as that was not my original point.
