i have the feeling sonnen will pull the upset and actually beat anderson silva everyone believes that anderson is unbeatable however he has proven time and time his worst enemy is the takedowns.

I feel when he fought Chael the first time Anderson was in the midst of getting bored, his fights with Cote, Leites and maia were all boring and he was flirting with a permanent move to lhw at the time, my feeling is Sonnen caught him by surprise and he will be ready for him this time, I also think that last fight was a wake up call for Silva, he's looked utterly dominant since it.

He did but he would have been stripped of the title anyway for his use of PED's...this time round he wont have that extra help!

I fancy Anderson to beat him quick this time!

YOu people really don't pay attention do you? He is legally using testosterone. His levels will be exactly the same. His elevated levels weren't what got him in trouble before. The fact that he didn't report his prescription to the commission is what he got in trouble for. So, if that's what you're depending on, I guess you're ****ed. He'll be as strong as ever. Legally.

    Wrong.

Sonnen tested positive because his levels were too high. Even if you're on TRT it shouldn't be boosting you numbers beyond normal levels - after all the whole point is that its there to correct a deficiency. Even if he had followed the procedure properly he would still have been in hot water because of this issue. We can see this with Nate Marquardt who did inform people he was going on it but came back with high levels after fighting Dan Miller. New Jersey demanded he be subjected to additional testing in the run up to his next fight and when Pennsylvania discovered that his levels were too high they pulled him from the fight.

If your levels are beyond what is normal then you are gaining the same type of advantage from testosterone as you would from anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are just testosterone modified to reduce the androgenic (sex hormone) properties of testosterone. This is one of the many reasons why Pennsylvania were Iin fact overly lenient towards Marquardt as they gave him the chance to get his levels back to the norm before the fight, so okaying him to benefit through his training.

And of course Sonnen did fail to go through the procedure. This isn't a small matter of failing to fill in the paperwork but a deliberate decision to hide what he was doing from regulators. Given the curious nature of the description of his problem and the treatment he was receiving in a testimony that can be best described as perjury, I wouldn't even risk staking your reputation on Sonnen having a legitimate medical issue that requires TRT.

So what your saying is that he will still be on Test for this next fight?

Whether he's on or not still on TRT is a really interesting question that no one has really got to the bottom of. But he will be tested (by the UFC as a matter of fact) and if his levels are as high as they were at UFC 117 then he will again fail a drugs test.

I learned all this by paying attention.

Hmm...maybe you didn't pay attention enough.

    Sigh.

First of all how do you think they discovered it in the first place genius? BECAUSE HIS LEVELS WERE TOO HIGH! If he hadn't have ****ed his levels, he'd have never been caught and would never have been suspended.

Secondly if you want to look like you've been paying attention perhaps try to not quote the verdict that got amended when Sonnen's lies were exposed? Makes you look as stupid as your argument.

I would also like to point out that what you quoted doesn't actually contradict what I wrote. The point I quite clearly made was that you are wrong to say that Sonnen got no unfair benefit from taking testosterone and that he will have the same levels at UFC 147. This showed your complete lack of understanding of the issues surrounding the use of testosterone in sports, no doubt caused by a failure to pay attention.

So wait, the amended final version of his punishment doesn't count? This is very interesting news.

Well it certainly doesn't contradict what I wrote either. Hmmm, guess I wasn't wrong.

    For the LOVE OF GOD.

I am saying this for the last time because you're so stupid I'm worried it might be contagious.

I did not dispute that he was suspended for failure to following the procedure when it comes to prescription medicine.

What I disputed was the idea that all Sonnen had to do to avoid getting into trouble was go through the proper procedures. That's simply not the case.

Even if he had followed all the correct procedures his levels would still be too high and he would still have tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone. Indeed there's a very good chance that under a similar regime to Marquardt he'd have been stopped from fighting.

Because of that even if he is still on TRT (which I quite clearly said is a question I don't know the answer to) he will not be able to fight at UFC 147 with the same testosterone levels as he did at UFC 117. If he does then he'll just test positive again.
