Also the reason why I said Dan and Vitor were the only ones remotely dangerous is because of my personal opinion of Anderson's skill set. Not because of the name sake, I forgot to mention that in my post.
Imagine if AS did beat JJ or at least become the most competitive against him? Makes me salivate that and is first to making that fantasy fight in pride for UFCU:3. Heard Silva say GSP is his focus now and I hope that fight happens though I think GSP gets destroyed. Still would further grow Silva's goliath legend image and I would def try to get that dvd regardless the result. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiYJis7ILKc[/ame]
reading the arguments on Silvas resume...I think I stand in the middle ground of your debate On 1 hand I do think Silvas resume could be better but on the other i dont think its bad Before getting into this I dont know the negotiations or the behind the scenes business..I dont know if these fights were almost made or even attempted or whatever Basically I always felt Silva had a great opponent below him in St Pierre and I kinda wished they had fought at some point, not sure whose fault it is maybe i expect too much but thats just a fight that i wanted Light heavy always has been the glamour division always loaded with tough talent, I know its a lot to ask of a guy to fight well above his best weight, as in 185 to 205 but I always felt the big fights were up there Imagine if you took out Chris Leben and Nate Marquart and 1 other name and swapped in Rashad Evans, Rampage Jackson and Lyoto Machida. Or took out 2 of those 205 guys and subbed in Shogun or Jon Jones Like I said maybe I am asking too much but I always felt there were fights I wish he made happen
Theres only one Superfight and thats Anderson vs Jones Both guys are on totally different level from everyone else Its disgusting their reluctance to face one another - what an era of combat sports where both the two p4p boxers and the two p4p UFC fighters say a big **** you to the fans and refuse to fight each other Really hope Dana forces them to do it, and puts big money on the table
Theres no way Dana is risking his last money maker against Silva. Coz Frankly, its not going to end well for the UFC when Silva walks out that cage for the last time over Jones limp and broken body.
I got Anderson too, but if there was ONE person who could beat him its Jobby Jones. Thats what makes it so damn intriguing Anderson destroys GSP. He knows it himself, which is why hes so keen on it But he's NOT sure when it comes to Jon B Jones
