What a sloppy night of fights to end off a sloppy year in the UFC.

Rogan needs to stop with slobbing all over somebodies shitty boxing, as they get clobbered all over the ring. He did that **** the other week when Henderson was pummeling Diaz around the cage. Dos Santos needs to keep his hands up plain and simple. Outside of the punch he landed high on the head of Cain in their first fight, he isn't really a one punch power type of guy.

Bones should move up to heavy. Can't see any reason why he wouldn't wreck Cain and the like.

    It's a poor division.

If nothing else, dos Santos displayed tremendous heart, chin and guts. He could easily have been stopped in the first.

Plus dos Santos wasn't THAT heavily favoured - everyone knew going in that the opinions on this fight were split. Junior was the favourite, but you're a moron to write Cain off against anybody and tonight he showed why. :nono

You weren't impressed by Cain's performance, his well-rounded skills on display and the ridiculous pace that he fought at?

You haven't seen dos Santos knock the living **** out of everybody he's faced before now and look awesome doing it? :blood

First fight was good. Pettis needs to worry about not losing his title shot like he did last time. I think he matches up really well with Henderson. He was definitely the quicker guy when they fought in WEC. Hopefully he has been working on his takedown defense.

Welcome to the world of combat sports, where nobody has ever had an impressive performance, and everybody who has ever lost is overrated.

After beating the **** out of Werdum, Struve, Nelson, Carwin, Mir, Cro Cop, Gonzaga and Velasquez, I guess Junior has now been exposed as a fraud. :conf

He had a dead man in front of him. Hands down, you could see Junior was broken physically, and mentally from the start of round 2. Cain looked more and more sloppy and tired after each round.

That 1st round was a great performance, everything after that was a farce. Doesn't matter though, the W and the championship is more important. I'm sure he and Junior will come back stronger.

I agree Rogan irritates the **** out of me when he talks striking. He routinely mistakes mediocrity for quality striking wise.

Anyway, off to bed now, I'll leave you boyz to it.

a man the size of Cain who is a good wrestler and who can put such a pace in a fight is a nightmare for everyone
how people can discredit this fight is beyond me
    it was gruesome

Clearly Junior wasn't mentally broken, because he was fighting back more with each passing round.

Physically yeah he was in all sorts of trouble after that right hand in round 1, but he had enough left that he soaked up many clean punches and kicks without being knocked down again.

Strange that - you don't usually see that happening in a fight, fighters moving slower and looking more tired as the rounds go on. :conf

Cain showed patience and still managed to be relentless in his attacks. He didn't swing wildly, instead he broke Junior down methodically and punished him whenever he caught him with his hands down. It was Junior's heart, chin and toughness that kept him in the fight, not any lack of ability from Cain. :bart

Definitely isn't isn't a fraud. I think his power is a little over rated.
