    If the prelims were any indication (and UTF's scouting report on Tumenov vs. Larkin rings true, along with my hype for the main events) this should be a fun PPV. :good

    is it common for a black belt BJJ guy to get submitted like that? I thought the Asian dude was levels above Mcdonald on the ground.

    :oops::scaredas:

    I think out of all of the fights tonight Miocic/Arlovski has the biggest chance of being a stinker. Arlovski/Mir was a letdown, when most thought it was almost certainly going to be end in the first round. I wouldn't be shocked one bit if this one sucked with both guys being tentative while on the feet and Miocic controlling the fight against the cage with the odd takedown here and there.

    Just had a peek at May Day McDonald's resume.

    No shame whatsoever in splitting a pair with Escovedo, or choke-out losses to Faber or Barão.

    ...and he kayoed Miguel Torres?? Last time I followed MMA regularly that would've counted for a HUGE win...

    Happens. There are also different levels of BJJ black belts, and McDonald is no slouch himself... Has access to better coaches and sparring partners as well.

    Caught Torres at the end of his career, but a solid scalp for where he was at in his career. Torres was coming off of a controversial loss to Demetrious Johnson I believe.

    Tumenov has a bit of a boxing background as well, in fact he comes from a boxing family... Bibert Tumenov being his cousin.

    FFS, Trujillo already had Sims' neck in the vice before Sims went for the double leg.

    Yeah, he's a dervish. He and his cousin are hot-ticket amateurs on the international scene. :good
