Yeah that's fair. I had it a draw too assuming that the new rules were in effect.

Romero missing weight and coming in with a size advantage played a role in the competitive nature of the bout.

I see Romero moving to Lightheavy weight.

Whittaker was in complete control until he started to brawl in the 3rd.

Whitaker deserved the victory. Romero I hate to say is, is a roided up beast, I see him losing to Jacare, Mousasi or Robert, but he can be competitive and dominant against the rest of the division regardless of organization.

Mousasi must be kicking himself for leaving the promotion when he did. It surely would've been him in there last night and not Romero had he stayed with the UFC. He would've had a very good chance of beating this reckless, gung ho version of Whittaker.

They probably didn't give 10-8 in the 5th due to Romero just wanting to snuggle after he hurt Rob..he could of seperated stood back up and do more damage...His corner were even screaming at him to do something more, but he just held Robs back and rested.

Romero missed weight by .2 pounds, or 3.2 ounces. Romero was not given his hour to lose the weight, and was not ordered by a doctor to discontinue the cut. Is there a chance he doesn't have to give up 20% of his purse, or are all arguments off the table once the fighters agree to fight once the weight was missed? I assume it's the latter.

Wonder if Romero could sue the commission for not getting that hour?

Ultimately it is up to the fighter to make weight, but that hour is within the rules. What is the right thing to do?

I had it 4-1 Covington but 3-2 was ok. Covington backed him up, controlled him, outstruck him, and landed more takedowns.
I’d lean toward Covington vs Woodley. I just think if Woodley doesn’t catch him he’s gonna gas. Plus those guys know who’s better from all their time in the gym and what each other’s tendency’s are. Woodley wanted nothing to do with masvidal or Covington. Styles make fights.

Even if you come away with the win, you're getting badly hurt if you fight Romero. A total brute

I can tell you from experience, when you carry that much muscle, at that point in the fight Yoel was quite tired

He didn't outstrike RDA if you rate clean power strikes over weak arm punches in the clinch. He got most of his TDs stuffed and couldn't do anything with his successful attempts. All Covington has going for him is a solid chin and good engine, his overall skillset is very average.

Styles make fights. That was not only an easy fight to predict but easy to score. Rda did nothing to win it.

Rda would have a better shot at beating till, wonderboy, is man or even Woolley because of gas tank then he would beating an askren, masvidal, or Colby.
