That cheating bum doesn't deserve another big fight.

Stipe fought the wrong fight. If you have a boxing background, why would you stand flat footed against a much shorter opponent? His cardio looked to be failing too, and it was only the first round.

Weird fight. I did not expect that. I expected more on the lines of Cormier being over confident and getting stopped.

And the Ngannou vs Lewis fight was awful. The whole event was meh for me anyway. The ending redeemed it a bit somewhat.

At the start of the fight i got the impression Stipe was being a bit too nice with Cormier. I feel Stipe likes to bill himself as an endurance type heavyweight by the way he fights. He rarely ever over commits unless he finds the precise opening.

He will if Dana bungs USADA a massive wad of cash and tells them not to say anything.

    DC would absolutely destroy Brock.

If Brock proves to still be a ratings draw and PPV draw for UFC, then the answer to that question is probably "yes".

Which makes a joke of the sport again if this drug cheat walks back in and gets a shot for a title fight.

Yeah the lack of fight IQ is mind boggling from someone supposed to be a real professional champion.

I think Dana already said at one of the pressers that not only would Brock would be coming back, but that he would be getting a title right off the bat against the Stipe vs DC winner. After failing a drug test from his previous fight, no less.

If the above proves to be true and happens, it'll just another thing which is eroding away any credibility UFC has left at this point.

    Cormier is just unreal!

    Well deserved. Best personality too.

I also hope Tyron Woodley, Ngannou are never shown again in the UFC. I got a few new friends watching it and we were just so disappointed with him.

The last fight redeemed everything though!

I'm very sad for Stipe, he is my Croatian and a great guy in general.

Stipe always had a tendency to be sloppy at times, and DC made him pay.
DC also outjabbed him and landed a few uppercuts inside, and it looked like Stipe breaths hard - looked like Cormier may walk him down in the next rounds if not for that uppercut.

Stipe's head movement was bad and his boxing offense relied/relies only on the right cross which Cormier knew and thus avoided it.
Stipe's distance was also bad, walking in without head movement or setting it up with the jab, and getting tagged with Cormier's jab cause of it.
Also Cormier was ducking to his right - his bad habbit, and Stipe never threw a left kick or a left hook.

I hope Stipe can learn from this loss, and come back stronger to become once again the UFC heavyweight champion!

If Brock thinks Stipe is a peice of **** try and go through him at very least to earn a title shot...elevating the cheat to a title shot is pathetic...Stipe would murder him.

We are talking about the wrong thing. We should be discussing whether or not Ngannou should be banned from being shown in the UFC ever again.

What a joke he has become in just a span of a few months.

So would Curtis Blaydes IMO. Brock doesn't want that work.

Absolutely, Blaydes while not exciting has been climbing the ladder in a legit way. Stipe, reem, a 1 legged Cain. JDS all destroy Brock..they would be telling the UFC to pay them step aside money for a pathetic drug cheat to get a shot.

That fight was for true UFC aficionados who appreciate defense.
It's not all about damage and throwing punches my man.
