UFC 226: Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier & Francis N'Gannou vs. Derrick Lewis RBR

It's all about the money. Cormier can't draw flies to **** and Stipe doesn't do numbers. UFC is just pathetic overall now that McGregor is inactive and Rousey got retired by Lesbian Nunes. I remember when people thought UFC would take over boxing LMAO. McGregor/Brock=UFC.

 

This..Its not difficult to comprehended. The UFC wants big selling cross- over attractions and personalities that appeal to the casual market.

Lensors sell , not Lewis's and ngannou's... They want McGregors , not Woodleys. Unfortunately there are only a few big names left that are marketable to the mass audience and hyped up guys like Ngannou going bust doesn't help matters.

Showmanship and theatrics is promotion and you have to promote your product , only idiots fail to understand such a basic business model. Most people enjoy banter and smack talk between fighters. There's a reason Connor earned $100m for one fight.
Foreman once said showmanship is part of the sport - you either have it or you don't. . Its better for bank account if you do .

Stipe DC wasn't a competitive fight and the immediate rematch is far too premature. He can definitely come again and its better for himself and the sport that he builds himself back up with another win before having another title shot.

At the end of the day certain people are just outraged the wrong looking guy won , with one bottom feeding scumbag claiming Stipe was just a fireman and never any good to begin with.
Look how they want to tear down the sport they claim to enjoy over Lesnor getting a shot , while at the same time being perfectible fine with Golovkin giving a title shot to another suspended ped user. Hypocritical bigots.

UFC is a joke. MMA is just a **** sport, no one wants to see men grappling on the floor, or mediocre stand up skill. Don't get me wrong McGregor was extremely fun to watch. And there are a couple other exciting guys out there, but 9/10 fights I see are BORING.

 

I loved it back in the heydays of Liddel , Rua , Windurm etc , but it ebbs and flows too much in quality which is why i usually only tune-in for the big fights these days.
The best skill and talent around now is in the woman's division between Rose N and Joanna Jercheck. They have better footwork and striking than some big name boxers. Nunes has pretty good stand up game as well.
But overall , currently , its lacking in big name attractions and is suffering badly from the void left by Conor and Rousey.. 44 year old Mark Hunt is hanging around the top 10. The names just aren't there.

 

Roll out the Lesnor show one last time. Everybody wants to witness it and its not like the UFC has an issue of giving big name attractions title fights.
Dana wanted to make Roussy vs Carnera 5 years after she retired after a loss. Couture coming oput of retirement to beat Sylvia was one of the best moments in UFC history.

 

Lesbian Nunes is that supposed to be some kind of an insult lol.
I can understand why you and some don't like how the UFC does things but especially since the takeover by WME it's more about making fights that people want to see and will make them the most money which is something boxing doesn't do enough of when putting making fights often ignoring what the fans want with promoters often making the safest fights instead of the biggest fights.

UFC may not be as popular as boxing but it is very successful even with lower PPV numbers lately which most promoters would kill to be able to get. If boxing doesn't make some changes soon with getting rid of some of these corrupt organisations that are hurting the sport then there is a danger of boxing falling behind the UFC who are far better in the promoting and production of there events.

Wether you agree with how they do it or not there is a reason a lot of fans are looking forward to Dana getting involved in boxing because he is easily 1 of the best promoters of any sport

 

UFC overall is a **** sport to watch. There's a reason a guy like McGregor was popular. He was exciting to watch and had charisma. No one wants to watch DC or Khabib. Other than the weirdos that like to watch men roll on the floor. We also want an attractive champion like Tate or Rousey. Not Lesbian Nunes.

 

Your entitled to your opinion but ALOT of people like watching but like you I'm also not a fan of boring wrestling guys either who do nothing but just lie on or up against there opponent.
I'm from a boxing/kickboxing background and mostly enjoy seeing elite strikers but I do enjoy watching elite BJJ/grapplers who remain active trying to submit there opponent.

I was at this fight and MMA is killing boxing on every level at this point outside of Canelo in the U.S. and Joshua in the U.K..
DONT B SCARED is right, if boxing doesn't cut the **** it will be swallowed up by MMA/UFC/Bellator etc..
Boxing is boring as **** right now and you guys know it is. Too many fans protecting fighters like they live with them or something. Saying all the sme **** they use to hate Mayweather for.
