Usyk is a bad choice for MMA, he isn't punches and has zero skills in wrestling, no one MMA fighter would have fought him in stand up.

Cormier has to be kicking himself right now. If standing with Miocic for five rounds was the game plan, he needs to fire his coaches. The fight isn't hard if he mixes in take downs from the start. He let what should have been an easy victory, turn into a 4th round beat down. It's not hard to make an adjustment if all your opponent is doing is walking forward with his hand down, eating flush shots. I'm surprised that Miocic didn't start pounding the hell out of that flabby, lard filed abdomen much sooner.

Cormier is a world level athlete and he has proved it time and time again, against two divisions, and a variety of fighters.
He is not unable to adapt, he just chose not to... he really did have Miocic by the balls prior to miocic switching tactics very well...

Cormier was never supposed to keep his hands down, and his trainer reminded him plenty... cormier was very happy with his success in hurting miocic and taking miocic shots well... let's be real... if Stipe didnt switch tactics he would have lost the fight, and he was already losing..

so well done for last minute planning by miocic.

He fought arrogantly. The complacency may have come from being punchy though. Who keeps walking forward hands down? Something isn't processing right anymore. That last shot attempt he tried on Miocic was fairly pitiful as well, not even close. Then not clinching and taking it to the ground when his flab is getting murdered. I think his brain was frazzled from the accumulation of shots. He was just fighting on instinct.

I know what I watch. I’m not a blind nuthugger like you. You have your eyes blocked by his nuts where you couldn’t see that his only hope was to try and land a haymaker like last time. Cormier was throwing wild punches with everything behind it. Some shots landed and where sensationalized by his announcer buddies. The counters and hard shots landed by Miocic weren’t commented on. The 4td rnd stoppage was from accumulation of punches throughout the 4 rnds.

Rnd 1 was Cormier. 2 and 3 were very close competitive rnd. By rnd 4 Miocic adjusted and his body and heavier punches were taking its toll, But of course you only saw what Cormier did.

Those analysts are paid to support Cormier, the champion you moron. They were all hoping for a super fight with Jon Jones at heavyweight. Go find another sport to watch because apparently you DKSAB or MMA

WOW those top 3 fights really delivered.

I thought Costa won the first 2 rds against Romero and deserved the win.

Thought DC was looking great until Stipe started ripping body shots like Roberto Duran in rds 4.

Diaz did great after a 3 yr absence. Always great to see his ground skills.

    Excellent fights.

Exactly. It's not a knock on Miocic, he did his best tonight. But Cormier made big mistake whe he choose not to wrestle since round 2 (look at round 1 when he completely dominated). Another mistake was taking those bodyshots which hurt him bad, and still trying to box with Miocic in round 4.

I also disagree that the eye poke was the only reason Miocic lost 1st fight.

Cormier poked him in the 1st fight, then knocked him out.

Tonight Cormier poked him once again, and Miocic did well after that and eventually won the fight.

Ah yes, that makes perfect sense...

    NOT

If you wanna go against reality, then go for it... but Cormier PROVED he wasn't lucky the first time, as he tagged Stipe the same way, for 4 rounds... so go bury your head in the sand if you hate facts.

Keep telling yourself this, eye pokes and nothing more. With no eye pokes in the first match the same thing would have happened, Cormier would have been overwhelmed with Miocics size and boxing.

Okay I think I can solve the eye poke thing using YOUR logic...

The refereee was in on it, he let the eye pokes happen because of the Cormier vs Jones fight right??? They want Cormier to win so everybody gets a piece of the pie LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

    hahahaha

I've seen Herb Dean officiate enough fights to trust his ability to handle illegal eye poke activity
