Strickland doesn't waste a lot of energy. Costa is running around the ring and it's clearly draining his energy. He's exhausted at this point.

 

Stricklands corner told him to go all out, will be interesting if he does.

Wtf was that?
Strickland was in complete cruise control and basically gave away the round by doing **** all. Then in the last 20 seconds he goes all out as if Costa diddled his girlfriend or something.
So odd.

 

4th was close and arguably lost the 5th.

At the very worst, this is a 3-2 for Strickland. And that would be a stretch.

Dude, you watching same fight...... yeah the 5th he was just in front but last 30 secs Strickland stole it..... the first 3 were shut outs and 4th a bit closer but Stickland for sure.

IMO he did not do enough to win the 5th, but arguably stole it as you said. I thought he also won the 4th but it was close, so I can see a cageside judge give it to Costa.
I had it 4-1 Strickland, can see it 5-0 for him.

But 4-1 Costa? Surely that judge had the names mixed up.

 

Makhacevs striking is built to deal with orthodox fighters, and he is damn good at it.
I am curious to see how they have adapted for this fight. Hopefully he doesn´t try to drag this to the ground from the opening bell.

 

I wish we had this buffer in boxing. He gets the crowd going and chanting with him.
Meanwhile our Buffer asks a hundred times: "Are you ready? The fighters are ready. Are you ready?" Does my brain in every time.

 

Nooooo! The French broadcasters have some sort of a technical error just as the first round starts. FML

 

This is to be expected from Islam, Dustin has to somehow figure out how to keep this fight standing up. That's easier said than done.

 

It´s just unfair how good he is on the ground.
