It's typical of the UFC and Dana White the last 5 yrs or so. Over promise and then under deliver.

 

"Lay and pray" is not indicative of all MMA. That's like saying clinch fests and marathon runners sum up the sport of boxing.

 

Dana always criticises boxing for all the different joke belts but the bmf is the biggest joke of them all. Topuria starched Holloway but Max stay the bmf champ. The ufc is just as big of a joke as boxing they are just marketed the sport better.

The Irony is Ilia also starched Charles. I don't see the purpose of the BMF or rankings unless there is modified rules where takedowns get taken away if there is no damage being done. Or each round you can only do take downs in the first half and second half is stand up only.

 

all for special rules being brought back for MMA showcase fights. Those were awesome in the JMMA days. Man I remember Shinya Aoki somehow surviving the kickboxing round only to be flying knee KO'd in the opening seconds of the MMA round.
