But Cheick. Kongo's never let you down right

Look bro, you have to forgive Mirko. It happens in this sport. What Gonzaga did to Mirko has no bearing on how you should look at this upcoming bout with Kongo. Mirko's loss to Gonzaga can be attributed to his lack of focus, or it can be attributed to him making a mistake. The mistake being throwing that body kick and allowing Gabriel to take him down. The takedown led to the elbows to his grill, which he admitted caught him off guard and made him dizzy. This then is what probably led to his slowed reflexes and sluggish standup when he got back to his feet. Which led to him getting knocked the **** out by what was then a VERY UNDERRATED STRIKER. Gonzaga proved against Couture that he is very dangerous on his feet. Also, Idiot Crocop didn't even train in a ****ing Cage for that fight, a testament to his arrogance and overconfidence.

Anyway, none of that matters. Kongo isn't going to take him down. Kongo isn't going to control him and rain elbows on him if it goes to the ground either. Mirko had another reality and ego check so his arrogance is back in a reasonable degree and he is now training in a cage. This fight is going to be fought on the feet, and Crocop is the superior striker.....Plain and Simple. Hence, why he is the favorite and I am picking him to win. :deal

Rampage, Bisping, CC. Bisping is the easiest to pick. Page/Hendo is a toss up, CC should probably win but you never know.

CC's standup is superior to most fighters, but Knogo is a big guy with good stand up taking away CC's only advantage. But most of you will say he has "superior" standup. This is a tough fight for CC it's at toss up and Kongo winning wouldn't be a surprise at all.

The thing is Mirko "had" superior stand-up. His skills have eroded quite a bit since his K-1 days, and Kongo is still active in the muay thai circuit. Mirko took Remy Bonjasky to school, and Remy housed Kongo in muay thai. Yvel KO'ed Kongo in MMA and Yvel isn't nearly on par with most top K-1 guys. If Mirko was able to build his skills up, get his old stand up swagger back, I think he will put on a clinic.

Definetely a possibility. But Hammil's striking is so atrocious I think he'll get caught. His chin is very suspect as well.
