Round 1 easily to (T) Griffin. Good scrambles and ground work.

Awesome ground war so far. This is what excitement is all about with grappling. Sean Sherk should take notes...

How good is this fight, seriously? And how great are these fighters? Especially Tyson Griffin. I've got it for Griffin as the fight is ending.

I give Griffin the UD. I want to watch the rematch...right now. That was a hell of a grappling match. Beautiful work all the way around. Kudos to both guys.

Excellent fight. Tyson is fantastic at sub escapes.

I thought Tavares did more damage but Griffin will win the decison.

And as Rogan pointed out, the crowd was cheering the grappling, really goes to break the sterotype that people just want to watch to sluggers go at it, its just not true anymore.

    That slam was filthy.

Griffin is slowly but surely putting himself in title contention. I think he might actually be able to make a ground war with Sean Sherk exciting...and that says a lot. Making Sean Sherk interesting takes talent.

What? Tavares had closer submissions, but theres no question at all that Griffin did the more damage to his opponent, did you get the names mixed up or something? I know its cliche and not always indicative of damage, but look at each guy, Tavares looks like he got ran over. He had great sub attempts, some very close catches, but he got punished when he missed.
