he does have a big frame but he is still carrying some extra weight that he doesn't need he should be 245 tops if he expects to last more than a round

No way bj dominates sherk, i think he will beat him and maybe ko him but that would be a difficult task only gsp has managed it so far and alot of that is due to him being alot bigger than sherk. I think bj has the edge but sherk is certainly a good match for anyone at that weight but i would say penn would go in 60/40 favourite.

Not sure how beating Stevenson makes him #1 p4p. Stevenson is good and all, but most rankings wouldnt even have him top 5 at LW coming into todays fight. Dont get me wrong, BJ is a great fighter, but to have the title of p4p #1, you have to earn it by proving it in the ring. Considering that BJs only wins in the last 2 years are Pulver and Stevenson, he has no claim at all to that title.

I would not be surprised if BJ is stronger than Sherk...Sherk aint much stronger than Joe Daddy yetBJ really dominated positions. Sherk better not cut which he is prone to do because he will get chocked out as well. Make that 70/30..

    Hughes manhandled Sherk as well..

And BJ owns matt on the ground when he isn't hyperventilating. Sherk has no chance, especially without his "supplements".

:patsch I would say Sherk has a dam good chance... i give B.j. a slight favorite but that's it....how can you say Sherk has no chance.

Youre right that he hasnt PROVED it.. yet.
    but..

    He beat Gomi badly
He moved up to 170 and beat Hughes and was beating him the second time until he got injured
He went to a split decision with St Pierre.. where St Pierre resorted to lay and pray to pull out the win.

And that was before he took the game seriously.

He made Pulver and Stevenson look like amateurs.
He will do the same to Sherk.

I think he is clearly the best fighter at 155... and I wouldnt bet against him taking down St Pierre at 170. If he does that there is no question as to where he ranks.

From watching the fights...And yes a disinterested overconfident Matt Hughes dominated Sherk..BJ isnt a lightweight..this guy took Machida down..Is his cardio not up to par..obviously its not his strong point...but he is strong

to say that BJ never took the game seriously before his rematch with Pulver is a HUGE exagerration. Even BJ himself would tell you that.

If you think Sherk will be as easy a win as Pulver and Stevenson were, you're wrong. Pulver wasnt even top 10, and was coming off a KO loss to Joe Lauzon. I think Penn will beat Sherk, but theres no way it will be as one sided as todays match.

I dont see BJ beating GSP at 170.
